When we, the people of Louisburgh, County Mayo, decided to build ten cottages right next to our village, it was because we wanted our visitors to come as neighbours, not as strangers. Local shops and petrol station open daily (petrol station: 8 am – 10 pm). Blue flag beaches a short distance away (Carramore and Old Head).

They are clustered on a four-acre, rocky, landscaped knoll, with a view of mountains on one side, and the Atlantic on the other. A stroll further down this road will bring you to a stony beach with a view of the river and Carramore Strand, a Blue Flag beach. Carramore is just 800 metres away, walking or driving through the village.
