LOUISE CAZLEY: Louise's Restaurant Picks - Cubana Social
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2013/10/louises-restaurant-picks-cubana-social.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Louise's Restaurant Picks - Cubana Social. One of my favorite things to do in October (well, all year round, who am I kidding? Is get together with my friends; eat and drink and be merry! I absolutely LOVE restaurants. There is something cozy about dining in the chilly temps and leaving a restaurant warmed and buzzed by the good food, good friends and wine. For this reason, I deeply miss my Restaurant of the Month. My fifteenth featured Restaurant Pick is Cubana Social:. Like mo...

The Clock Bar Bronx Wedding Photographer. Filed Under: our wedding. This is the story of how we got married. Again. If you want to know a little more about why we decided to renew our vows on our first anniversary, you can check out this article on DNAinfo. Here's what the article doesn't say. I knew that I wanted an 80s theme for the party with LOTS of neon. I first turned to my buddy Jackie at Sincerely, Jackie. To design the invitations to the party. Lace curtains for $1? I had no idea! Who took all o...

LOUISE CAZLEY: Today I am Grateful
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2013/11/today-i-am-grateful.html
Thursday, November 28, 2013. Today I am Grateful. I always thought it was ridiculous when I heard people say, ‘you chose your own happiness’. But life and circumstances will always teach you what a phrase can mean to you. I feel like every thanksgiving I’m redundantly grateful for the same exact thing; the loves in and of my life who are near and far. And this thanksgiving, I am especially grateful for the same and for the blessings of life and love. I’m grateful for this day and for ...View my complete ...

LOUISE CAZLEY: February 2013
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 15, 2013. Book Report – Gone Girl, by Gillian Flynn. If you have not read Gone Girl but plan to, you might not want to read this post. I wish I would have taken notes earlier in the story but I didn't plan on writing a book report and I didn’t know that I was going to love the book so much. Although their relationship changes as it matures, I love the way she describes the beginning of her relationship with her husband. She loves. Not in real life, but I live. But then… I get to pa...

LOUISE CAZLEY: April 2013
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 29, 2013. If I Ran the Reproductive Laws of America…. This woman threw a human being down a garbage chute! A human being whom she just pushed out of her twat, I might add. I don’t see why the charges are even up for question, but that’s just my opinion. If I ran the reproductive laws of America, there would be a mandatory tube tying law for situations like this. You dispose of your baby; you don’t get to have any more. I don’t think so. But that’s just my opinion. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

LOUISE CAZLEY: June 2013
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 18, 2013. I haven’t physically been to church since January and before that I hadn’t been to church since the previous February. I say physically, because my church offers the option of streaming the live service, so I attend virtually… most Sundays. A few Sunday’s ago, the pastor spoke about a program, launched by Times Square Church, called Feed New York. The food that my family received from the food pantries was…interesting. I remember picking up cans of meat with a picture on...America...

LOUISE CAZLEY: Introducing Restaurant of the Month - Patois
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2011/07/introducing-restaurant-of-month-patois.html
Friday, July 1, 2011. Introducing Restaurant of the Month - Patois. Restaurant of the Month began for me five years ago. Four of my friends and I decided to meet every month at a different restaurant in which we would each have a turn at choosing. Restaurant of the Month had a very successful four-year run, but due to my friends having babies and buying houses too far from the city (the nerve), Restaurant of the Month is no more. Food is an important part of my life. Whether I am dining at a restaura...

LOUISE CAZLEY: Homemade Buttermilk
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2014/04/homemade-buttermilk.html
Wednesday, April 23, 2014. The problem with making buttermilk pancakes from scratch is that buttermilk is not sold in small quantities and I always end up wasting about ½ of the container because I didn't make enough pancakes before the buttermilk expired. I could have used it for baking so that it didn't go to waste, but I didn't think that far ahead. I found a few different ways to make it but the recipe I went with consisted of:. 190; cup plain yogurt (I used Fage plain Greek yogurt and it worked fine).

LOUISE CAZLEY: Racing Old-Dude, Guillermo
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2014/04/racing-old-dude-guillermo.html
Friday, April 4, 2014. Racing Old-Dude, Guillermo. By the time Guillermo crossed the street away from me, I was out of breath and I know he was too, because of all the heavy mouth breathing coming from him during our unofficial race. Now I know I wasn’t bugging out: Old dude, Guillermo, does not like it when I beat him at his walking game. I know I shouldn't mess with old people, but next time, and there will be a next time, I’m breaking into a run. Follow me on Twitter @ LouiseCazley.

LOUISE CAZLEY: September 2013
http://louisecazley.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 4, 2013. See you. In September. That song still gives me the chills. (Blegh). Although I haven't been to school in ages, those late August back-to-school commercials work like a time machine bringing me back to the anxiety and anticipation of a new school year. Friends and boys were a very welcomed distraction. Would I look better to everyone this year than I did last year? Will there be any new cute boys in my classes? There was no money for the clothing that would have catapulted m...
