Lound Infant School, Y1 Monkeys: Time travel treats
http://loundmonkeys.blogspot.com/2013/05/time-travel-treats.html
Lound Infant School, Y1 Monkeys. Tuesday, 14 May 2013. On Monday we looked at a time line of history and all the different periods, such as Ancient Egypt, Romans, Vikings, Tudors, Victorians, and the 20th Century. As a class, we decided that the Viking era would be an interesting time to learn about, so we left Wolfgang Tempus a message asking him to go back in time and gather some information. After following some clues we finally found a time capsule from the Victorian times. View my complete profile.

http://loundmonkeys.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Lound Infant School, Y1 Monkeys. Friday, 28 September 2012. This afternoon we finished off our Superheroes topic with an afternoon of science investigations. We felt around in boxes to see if we could guess what was in there (ice, cornflour, a spiky ball and a sponge), sniffed at mystery smells (including coffee, oranges, raw fish and blue cheese. eugh) and did taste tests of lemons, salt, dark chocolate and sweets. I'm not sure I like the lemon! We all crowded around the net to say goodbye. We listened ...

Lound Infant School, Y1 Monkeys. Friday, 3 May 2013. Wolfgang takes us back in time. Today we had another message from Wolfgang Tempus the time-traveler. His time machine had vanished on Wednesday morning, and now we know where he went. We learned about the story of John the Baptist and talked about why people get Christened today - we remembered Reverand Stordy telling us about Christenings at the font at Ecclesfield Church. Lound Infant School, Y1 Monkeys: February 2013
http://loundmonkeys.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Lound Infant School, Y1 Monkeys. Thursday, 28 February 2013. Circus investigation number 1: The human cannonball. The first science investigation we have done as part of this topic was looking at the human cannonball. We watched a video of a man being shot out of a cannon at the circus, and then talked about all the forces being used. We decided that the man was pushed out of the cannon, and that gravity pulled him back down again. The mangonels are loaded and pulled back. The Circus comes to Lound.
