The Building of the Big Tuna Christening July 3, 2010. Monday, February 1, 2010. Took the weekend off and left to Key Largo for the Seafood festival. What a great time. I needed a small break from the Big Tuna. It only made me more anxious to pick up from where I left off last weekend. This coming weekend, the bottom hull goes into place! Then the glass, followed by a coat of paint. I’m not sure yet what color scheme to use but I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. Have a good evening!

The Building of the Big Tuna Christening July 3, 2010. Friday, June 25, 2010. The stern compartments are almost in place. All I need are the hinges. Port side is for the live bait well. Starboard side will house the battery and other things like life jackets or tackle box. Molding still needed in the self bailing well. Front view of storage compartments and gas tank compartment. Power lines completed for navigation lights, bilge pump and aerator. Luis painting rear walls of storage compartments. Floor planks sanded and water proofed. Now we have to get them installed. This should take about 5 hours or so. More updates as progress is made. June 25, 2010 at 9:15 AM. All this hard work will payoff really soon =) enjoy! Let’s get crackalackin.
