Whole years have passed now with their presence the only real marking of time- the only real connection to a life outside. I am sat on the side of a windy hill on a Hebridean isle with my two teenage sons- volcano hunting! Where can I plant my beloved pumpkins and perennially what can I do to manage slugs in the lettuce?
