My life as wife, mom, daughter, friend. Saturday, May 8, 2010. On Friday night Steve brought home the chickens that had started out as eggs in his classroom science unit. We have 8 little chicks peeping in our family room. It is such a pleasant, comforting sound. I love it! The kids are really enjoying holding them and talking to them. I am too. :-) For now they are in a brooder, aka Rubbermaid tote, and in a few weeks we will move them to a coop outside. It is going to be so much fun! It's Hip to Save!

I've been busy adjusting to a new schedule while holding down the fort here at home so that our furnace, water heater and insulation could all be replaced. It's been a busy week. This morning I stumbled upon a great post by the gal over at Heavenly Homemakers. She addresses the struggle many of us have with feeling like we don't measure up in the area of child-rearing and home-keeping. I hope that you have the time to read her post.
