I have experienced a great deal of loss in my life – that may be the reason – or it’s just the way God made me. I have tons of empathy for people, even strangers, that I encounter who are hurting. Today, though, I was given the honor of crying with and lifting prayers for those left here without the one they love. The people that time doesn’t stop for. The grieving. Enter your comment here.

Going on a trip? July 11, 2014 · 11:31 pm. Today, I hiked down to the base of a water fall. I haven’t done that since I had kids. They are all old enough to make the journey on their own little feet now. Today, when the kids and I arrived at our destination, I realized my River had dressed himself in two pairs of underwear and NO pants. Small boxer briefs under larger boxer briefs. Going on a trip? September 15, 2014 · 10:33 pm. It’s been a while since our rather long journey to the North. We survived. The brake lights eventually got fixed. There was a ticket involved, but not for the lack of lights. I guess my husband was using the “smoke and mirrors” tactic, by going so fast they didn’t notice them. This is my son. He could talk to a flea and be glad for the conversation. He does have a way with making people feel welcome and included. We did have WiFi, so we were sitting pretty.

Time waits for…. Another Day →. May 13, 2014 · 8:06 pm. The weekend went way better than I had hoped. My boys made me some sweet Mother’s Day cards. My nieces wedding was beautiful. None of the un-appreciators said anything negative. I spent the morning blowing it off as some funk….just a let down after all my emotions were on guard.
