One Taste Rule!: September 2011
http://onetasterule.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
The idea that we should all try (almost) everything at least once! Monday, September 26, 2011. S'nice cafe in Park Slope had the most beautiful looking roasted broccoli the other day. I was inspired to make some. So easy. And infinitely better than plain old simple steamed broccoli (though I admit I like that too)! 1 head of broccoli. 4-5 tblsp. extra virgin olive oil. 4-5 cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and with the sliced garlic. Recipe,...

One Taste Rule!: June 2011
http://onetasterule.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
The idea that we should all try (almost) everything at least once! Thursday, June 9, 2011. It was 95 degrees in New York yesterday. We chilled a bottle of rose and I made a little Mexican feast (I know. There should have been beer. We used what was in the house because nobody wanted to make another trip to the store in the heat). Then we settled in for a 3 episode marathon of "Game of Thrones."It was a good night! I highly recommend you relplicate it! It will make you happy! 3 ripe plum tomatoes, chopped.

One Taste Rule!: Chocolate Chip Cookies for Every Occasion
http://onetasterule.blogspot.com/2011/12/chocolate-chip-cookies-for-every.html
The idea that we should all try (almost) everything at least once! Monday, December 12, 2011. Chocolate Chip Cookies for Every Occasion. We make chocolate chip cookies a lot. Everybody likes them, they're quick to make and you can endlessly vary the additions. For our holiday party I used dark chocolate chips, dried cranberries and walnuts. The one thing that stays consistent is the texture, which is cakey with a little crunch around the edges. Every Occasion Chocolate Chip Cookie. 3/4 cup brown sugar.

The idea that we should all try (almost) everything at least once! Sunday, January 8, 2012. Cooking the Candle 79 Cookbook. Watercress, Jicama, and Corn Salad with Jalapeno Dressing. I substituted chopped apples for the corn, because I hate frozen corn unless it's in a curry or a soup. Look at the vibrant color of the jalapeno dressing! It's great on steamed veggies too! The salad is on page 43. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cooking the Candle 79 Cookbook. Cooking the Candle 79 Cookbook.

The idea that we should all try (almost) everything at least once! Sunday, January 1, 2012. Cooking the Candle 79 Cookbook. Spaghetti and Seitan Wheatballs with. Roasted Plum Tomato Sauce. Erica came down to New York City from Ottawa with her family this past week. They got caught in a snow storm on the way down, turning what should have been an 8-hour drive, into a tedious 11-hour voyage. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cooking the Candle 79 Cookbook.
