Gillatron: February 2015
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Tuesday, February 10, 2015. So after our time in Kruger we were keen to get out and explore a little on our own. Having Kevin and Jen to show us all their favorite spots was great, but we wanted to see things through our touristy lens, and wallow around a little. Swaziland seemed like a good place to start. We rented a couple of cars, and with Bevil and Alex and their kids, went road-tripping. The life expectancy is 50. 1) pull up to border. 4) return to car and proceed ...

Gillatron: June 2012
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. John teaching the boys to balance. I love this photo of Tobin spotting Nick! Caught mid dam building. We were working outside and I asked "who wants to help me clean up? Expecting that one of them would carry the drill, and the other the screws. But of course they both lasered to the axe and pulaski. Followed by the sound of breaking glass and crashing hair product. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Asystole is the Most Stable Rhythm.

Gillatron: July 2012
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Sunday, July 29, 2012. Christina lake and Mountain biking. Tobin and I rode Flowdown yesterday. This is the newest of our XC mountain bike trails in Revelstoke, and is 7km of super buff singletrack. He did so well! He styled all the bridges, rocky, off-camber sections and bermed corners. He was pretty proud of himself when we finished. Rightly so. Here's a little video of him riding and me following. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Asystole is the Most Stable Rhythm.

Gillatron: August 2012
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Wednesday, August 8, 2012. My new favorite place. I managed to finally round up some partners and we headed to Goldbridge for three days this past weekend. We had a vague plan, a lot of power gels and granola bars, and enough ambition to survive whatever was encountered! The forecast for the weekend was for a high of 39 on Saturday, and 40 on Sunday! It was so hot! Swim in Hummingbird lake. *not warm*. Along past Trigger lake. Moses, stalking a deer. Love and Support for...

Gillatron: February 2013

Chronicles of a brand new family. Sunday, February 17, 2013. It really is amazing how time flies. Can't believe Tobin is six already! We had a party on his birthday at home, then had a free-for-all at the tube park on the hill. It was. INSANE! These guys were lapping me and Nick in the Tube park. As soon as they had their tubes they disappeared.until the 'call to cake' was announced. Tobin, Teagan, Fisher and Thomas. Yeah, bruises, tears. Some pre/post cake carbo loading with Justin Bieber.

Gillatron: September 2012
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Thursday, September 6, 2012. After our time in Hazelton we drove to Prince Rupert, where we left the truck and got on our bikes. Tobin and Nick were on the trail-a-bikes, AMG had panniers and Tobin and I pulled the chariot full of camping gear. We did a similar thing last year, so knew what we were getting in for! It was a great 8 days with fine weather, except for a little rain. Which was very fortunate as we were totally unprepared for rain! Who's driving this thing?

Gillatron: Ofcalaco
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2015/01/ofcalaco.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Monday, January 26, 2015. Kevin cleverly rented a 13 seater van, and heroically drove everyone the six hours to the Noel family farm in Ofcalaco. Ofcalaco isn't really a town, it's more of a curve in the road where there's a farm supply store and. nothing else really. However, it's the home to some REALLY awesome people! Blyde River Canyon, third largest in the world. Bun and Pat's (no idea why he's called Bun.). On the way to 'The Shack', and it's awesome swimming hole!

Gillatron: January 2013

Chronicles of a brand new family. Saturday, January 19, 2013. A photo essay on remote control cars. Unbelievably, the remote control cars the boys got for Christmas are still operating. However, not content with doing sweet burnouts and taking SICK! Jumps they started coming up with even greater challenges for these little miracles of chinese mass manufacturing. Yeah, dropping in off a sick pillow line thanks to King Ottakars Sceptre! Back it up yo! No problem for Xang Hi Corporation! Then we shot down t...

Gillatron: Kruger!
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2015/01/kruger.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. A relatively quiet Christmas was spent in Malelane, with more swimming, more family visiting and a hotter-than-hell Christmas dinner - 40 degrees! It was the first mass family meet up with the Granville's and was great to meet everyone and get a chance to do some visiting. Even though I had to sit next to the priest. Not to mention the birds, they were outta control! Anyway, I'll stop there and just add some photos. Vultures are very cool. ...

Gillatron: September 2013
http://gillatron.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Chronicles of a brand new family. Thursday, September 5, 2013. In the week leading up to it Ann-Marie would claim that "I haven't trained so I probably won't do very well, and I hope I can just keep up with you"* . Wouldn't that be something? I kept this delusion up for quite a few days! So race day arrived and I had set some goals for myself:. 1) finish the distance (25km trail run). 2) run as much as I possibly could. 3) finish with dignity. I was feeling great on the day of the race! 5km, okay, now I'...
