Ribbon Willow: December 2012
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, 15 December 2012. This year was the first time my husband and I have had our own flat to decorate for Christmas. I enthusiastically believed that I would make every decoration myself and have the perfect homemade home but as December edged nearer and life got busier I realised that this was ever more unlikely! However through my browsing on Pinterest of homemade Christmas decs I stumbled upon this tutorial. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. This is to invite you to. Rain-soa...

Ribbon Willow: a beautiful little girl
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2012/05/beautiful-little-girl.html
Saturday, 19 May 2012. A beautiful little girl. I've had my 50mm lens for a few weeks now and since getting it I've been doing a little flurry of portrait photography. I think it helps that compared to my other lens (28-135mm) this one is positively dinky and so it's much less awkward pointing it in people's faces! Although I think when you're the age of this little girl then you probably don't mind too much either way. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a twenty-something living in London. I l...

Ribbon Willow: this is to invite you to....
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2012/05/this-is-to-invite-you-to.html
Friday, 11 May 2012. This is to invite you to. I mentioned in a previous blog that I've been spending a lot of my spare time planning a wedding and here is a chance to see some of what I've been up to! Seeing as we've now given out all our invites there doesn't seem to be any need to keep it a secret any more! I was inspired by browsing other wedding invites on Pinterest but we wanted to have something that was still unique to us. Putting the invites together was definitely a team effort and at one point...

Ribbon Willow: getting back into photography: Autumn gold
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2012/11/getting-back-into-photography-autumn.html
Monday, 12 November 2012. Getting back into photography: Autumn gold. It's been a while since I last blogged and I have now moved cities, started a new job and got married! I'm living in London working in the creative services team of a development NGO. For those of you new to my blog, I love trying my hand at all sorts of creative ventures, from gig. Another new addition to my life is Adobe's Lightroom editing software which I hope will add that je ne sais quoi. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This ...

Ribbon Willow: June 2011
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 June 2011. A botanically themed photo collection. Rain-soaked rose arch walkway. This is "Mandela's Gold", originally from South Africa- I love it's spiky shape! I took this photo before I started logging names of plants but it's very pretty! Red Lily just after the storm. Allium, also known as 'flowering onion'! A collection of cactus roses. Tuesday, 21 June 2011. Mr and Mrs Spencer. A simple but very beautiful cake. Flowers by Robyn at Floral Footsteps. As I've said before. I don't enjoy ...

Ribbon Willow: July 2011
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 21 July 2011. Giant cushions are the best sort of cushion. Having got myself in a cushion-making mood following Geri's birthday. I decided to make a cover for a floor cushion I bought in Ikea a little while ago. The fabric is also all Ikea (I'm not a huge fan of the shop but I do have a weakness for the textiles department! This is now my favourite cushion for leaning against when I'm sitting on my bed skyping my boyfriend in London :-). Tuesday, 12 July 2011. A tribute to a train enthusiast.

Ribbon Willow: October 2011
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 7 October 2011. I'm taking a little break from Ribbon Willow. Life has got very busy at the moment and I've found that I've been unable to post blogs regularly. I've still been doing creative bits and pieces, including making a documentary video and teaching myself to felt(! So I will be back to tell you all about what I've been up to once things have calmed down a bit and start having free evenings in again. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Ribbon Willow: May 2011
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 25 May 2011. A couple of months ago I started a new job at A Way Out. In Stockton. It's an amazing charity that really does saves people's lives. I'd fully recommend you to check out the website and the work the charity does. My job title is Fundraising Admin Assistant but I'm not entirely sure whether that gives the right impression of what I do. It sounds quite office based and a bit boring (at least that's what I thought when I was offered the role)! But in fact I love my job! And the pink ...

Ribbon Willow: April 2012
http://ribbonwillow.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, 27 April 2012. I know that it's been very quiet on the old blog front for a while and I'm sorry not to have been around. One of the main reasons for this is that currently most of my creative energies are going into wedding plans and I don't want to give away too many surprises in advance! I was very flattered to be asked, particularly as my friend is a professional photographer and so her standards are pretty high! If you'd like to see the photos I took just pop along to her blog. This is to inv...
