About Shivaree Wheaten Terriers and Lagotto Romagnolo (est. 1993). Adrina arrived at 8 weeks of age via cargo at Los Angeles airport (too hot for live cargo in Phoenix in May) in a crate with her litter sister, Augi who also lives in Arizona. Since that day we have been in love with the Lagotto. Our second Lagotto, Merlino, is now living in Tucson with a great family and is their special dog. Published January 27, 2015. We tested Pesca with ultrasound and sadly the results showed no puppies. I had that happen once before and the girl had 7 puppies, and I sensed she was pregnant because she kept gaining weight. Some Lagotti can be reserved with strangers but are a devoted pet to the family. Breeders say Lagottos are affectionate, easy to train and not very demanding. They become very attached to their owners and make good companions and watch dogs. Games of tracking, looking for people in the woods or searching for mushrooms are suggested exercises for maintaing healthy Lagotto brain activity. Monday, August 13, 2012. Wait" and "Back Up". Good Save! I don't usually train my dogs to 'Stay'. I like the 'Wait' command better. Wait" means don't move forward. When I tell my dogs to wait at the front door, it means you can move about the house, just don't move forward. don't follow me out the door, the gate, up or down the stairs. But it doesn't mean "freeze". Stepping in poop and ick averted, I was so proud of my girl, and so happy I had taught her those two commands. Von Menschen und meinen Hunden.
