Another passage that is famous for using the word mirror is found in james. 19My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. How is my hair? Vs 19-20: 19My...

Friday, November 19, 2010. Thursday, November 18 "A Moment in time". Looking at random pictures that were found on the Internet, we played a little game. We pretended to imagine what was going on within the picture. We came up with names, actions, thoughts, etc. We explained in great detail what was happening in each particular photograph. Each Photo represents a moment frozen in time; something that will help us to remember out thoughts and feelings at that particular moment. Sometimes it's difficult to...

http://sauersonmission.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 23, 2010. It's all in the perspective October 23. We played a game this Friday. We divided into groups. One group was to pretend that they were theologians, looking deep into the scripture for some hidden meaning that isn't written in the text. One group was to be themselves, average church goers that had been going to church for years. The other group were people off the street that had never been to church before. We broke it down and asked which of these three groups would be more li...

Saturday, February 20, 2010. Friday February 12, 2010. If we took the time to pray WITH those that we struggle with, it would be very difficult to remain angry or upset with that person if the prayers were sincere. We looked at Jesus prayer for his disciples and for all believers in John 17:6-26. Jesus prays to the Father for protection, sanctification, and unity for the disciples and all believers. Friday, September 10, 2010. Friday, Sept 10, Looking in the mirror. Have you ever looked in the mirror. Stupid question, of course you have. It's terribly difficult to brush your hair or wash your face without a mirror. We don't want to leave pizza sauce all over our chin now do we. We look in the mirror all of the time. For some, it's a force of habit. We need to see what's going on with our appearance. Mirrors are good for looking at where we've been, but there not so good at seeing where we are going.
