Thursday, December 15, 2011. Grace's First Shriner's Trip! It was a long trip but SOOO worth it! We started out Tuesday night around 8 pm and drove to Beresford (south of Sioux Falls) and stayed with JoLee and Larry (Mike's aunt and uncle). The fog was nasty, so it took us around 8 hours to get there. instead of the normal 6 hours. It was around 5:30 am their time when we got there! Monday, January 30, 2012. Right now she is borrowing this little wheel chair/stander that she stands in and uses her arms to wheel similar to a wheel chair. She is so smart, she can get around pretty well with it. Not sure which piece of equipment she will end up having. But we are looking forward to her being somewhat mobile! Sunday, December 11, 2011. Our beautiful baby girl Grace Mae. Was born 07/26/2010 at 5lbs 6oz 18 1/2 inches long. She was born six weeks premature, and spent about 14 days in the Rapid City, SD NICU. She had a pneumothorax on her left side, and then her right side collapsed. We were lucky because she pulled through very quickly, she is an AMAZING. We got to bring her home on 08/09/2010! Monday, June 9, 2014. Once upon a time there was a boy and a girl. and they fell in love. And to keep things shorter for everyone's sake, that boy was my husband Mike, and well I was the girl. Sammantha. I was born and raised in rural South Dakota. I will clarify that I am not a "cowgirl" .but a country girl lol. I have never been very talented at riding horses,. my dad is a mechanic. I like things that I can drive, steer, and most importantly brake lol! Grace in the NICU right before she came home :).
