Lovely Little Cottage School: Our Very Own Owl Pellets!
http://lovelylittlecottageschool.blogspot.com/2010/10/our-very-own-owl-pellets.html
Lovely Little Cottage School. Friday, October 29, 2010. Our Very Own Owl Pellets! Having purchased and dissected an owl pellet from an educational store,. I was familiar with what owl pellets looked like. Earlier this week, I asked my son to take our the trash. He called me excitedly and said that I MUST come. Look at this "thing" on the trash can lid. This is what I found:. See the little bones sticking out? A "wild" owl pellet! Today, we found another. We proceeded to dissect both pellets.

Lovely Little Cottage School. Wednesday, September 29, 2010. A butterfly spotted on a recent hike. I found a praying mantis by the dryer vent on the outside of the house. A nature study in the making! The kids came outside with an empty cottage cheese container and we relocated him to our flower garden. I think he'll be much happier here. No lint to contend with:). Did you know that Hobby Lobby has a pretty cool science aisle? Beautiful clouds during the sunset one evening. Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Garden Girl's Waiting Game: January 2008
http://gardengirlswaitinggame.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Garden Girl's Waiting Game. Thursday, January 10, 2008. We heard from our agency that we were not the family picked to adopt the little boy that we put our homestudy in for in December. Ironically, later that afternoon, we received the bill from our agency for submitting the homestudy. Ahh, such is the game of adoption. Actually, I am doing okay. Wondering what God has for us in all this. Wondering if I'm missing what He wants us to do. Wondering if three children is the size of our family.

Garden Girl's Waiting Game: March 2007
http://gardengirlswaitinggame.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Garden Girl's Waiting Game. Friday, March 9, 2007. I held you in my heart. Dec 6, 2006-March 9, 2007. We received a call from our agency today. The birth father called to let them know that the baby had died. I have no details, just a huge ache in my heart. There will be no adoption. Please pray for the birth mother and father. The World Was Just Too Small. Tuesday, March 6, 2007. Dreamed all night about the baby. Nothing specific that I can remember, just dreams. Woke up feeling at peace, though.

Garden Girl's Waiting Game: December 2007
http://gardengirlswaitinggame.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Garden Girl's Waiting Game. Friday, December 21, 2007. Here we go again;). Well, our agency called yesterday with a referral. Little boy. Blond hair. Blue-eyed. One-year old. Put our home study in. Won't hear anything until after the first of the year. Don't know when the matching meeting is. In 2007, we put our home study in for three children. Made it to matching three times. We were picked as family number two once. Maybe this one will be the one:). Thanks for your prayers. Monday, December 3, 2007.
