Friday, May 18, 2012. 8 Point Star with Sash {Machine Quilting}. It is pouring rain outside. The puttering of rain, and rolling of thunder give me the sewing itch! After I write this post, I will be working on something fun for myself, which is a real treat! I just sent off this 8 pointed star quilt yesterday. I loved every minute of quilting it. I love how this quilt took a classic 8 pointed star, and added some simple sashing, and strip pieced blocks to achieve a fresh design. I love this quilt!

I always feel at least a tinge of jealousy when I am not there to enjoy it. As I have watched other quilters post things they have done for market this year I feel admiration for them! I love watching others succeed. Then I remembered, I have stuff at Quilt Market too! I was over the moon when I received an email from Bonnie. I was able to quilt her Smooth Sailing.

Thursday, April 24, 2008. Multi Stripe Baby Quilt. It seems like I could make a hundred baby quilts every year and still not have a single one to myself. I love the Modern Baby Boy. A pdf document of this tutorial is available at our. 6) 1/3 yard cut of six different fabrics. 1/2 yard for binding. 1 1/3 yards for backing. Monday, April 21, 2008. I have a weakness for stacks of fabric. In fact, I like stacks so much that I'd probably even like a stack of ugly fabrics. The fabric cutting ladies at the store are likely irritated with me because I like to take the fabric cuts from them and stack them up nicely in the same shape and size. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Ryan thought he would death march the baby out of me by making me go to the zoo in the 95° heat. It didn't work. But with Wilson being incredibly whiny these days I thought it would be a good outing for him. Hogle Zoo has a special "exhibit" that has dinosaurs placed throughout the park that move and make noise. Wilson did not like them. He would cling to Ryan for dear life any time we got close to one. Saturday, June 23, 2012. Wilson being in this body cast was pretty much the best thing to happen for us as far as eating out goes. Taking Wilson places has become quite the chore, so we just stay home most of the time. I also started doing Bountiful Basktets. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. These Guys Are Up To. I'm going to pretend like the last few days hasn't happened yet, and write about the guys before the infamous May 25th. And he just giggles. It's amazing. Ryan said his favorite thing is that he is just all boy. He loves to go to the park and play in the dirt. He loves watching for cars with is dad. He loves to play with his trains, and he's a pretty though kid. (that post WILL come later, I promise). Oy My heart is hurting for Wilson! Love the new house!
