Stephen J. Quirke. April 19, 2015. Last Friday I went Sulani to do initial sketches of four women to do some finished portraits. We met at the guest house run by Emma Nkele Makatu who sat for me last of all. The first lady to sit was Anna, Moyahabo Anna Seemola. It took a little time for us to settle down but eventually I did this portrait. Then Lerato sat for me and I did this painting. She held a calm smile the whole time. Just another WordPress.com site. We spent all of last week visiting family in Washington. The Pacific Northwest is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to see and do. We spent a lot of our time visiting family. I’ve tried to make it up there to visit every two years, so we haven’t been there since BabyK was 6 months old!
