HELLS BELLS & ANGELS – track 4 – Punkit
http://punkit.lovemusic.org.uk/resources/hells-bells-and-angels-track-4
Groove A & B. Groove A B A. HELLS BELLS & ANGELS. HELLS BELLS & ANGELS – track 4. In this track we all use the hand held bells and deconstructed metal glockenspiel bars to create a slow moving soundscape of bells. During this track Joby plays a very unusual instrument, an aluminium harp called Canna Sonora, which was invented in Michigan in the 1920s. There are no set rhythmic patterns to learn, but we will rehearse improvised gestures, clouds and clusters of notes in rehearsal.

Groove A & B. Groove A B A. HELLS BELLS & ANGELS. SKINS – End Sequence. This isn’t a groove that repeats it’s the final 16 bars of the track. Group 1 and Group 2 play the same rhythms. Be careful not to get faster! When performed it should sound strong and aggressive. The way to achieve this is to keep the pulse steady. Keep your ears open for the bass guitar part in the 2nd half - this will help. How to play cowbell - End Sequence part 2. End Sequence groups 1 and 2. End Sequence group 3.
