A Little Trip South. In May we headed down to St. George for a little family vacay. It was simple and mellow and just right. Here are some pictures and notes. Exploring red rocks on day 1 -. Digging at the abandoned gypsum mine -. Hiking white rock (my personal favorite memory) -. Sunday at the temple -. Good times with my family! Here are some things about the man known as Dad around our house:. He is the sole giver of shoulder rides, "dolphin transporters," wrestling matches, and "go go go's.". He has ...

This morning I heard a little knock on the bathroom door while I was putting my contacts in. I opened it and heard a little "Woof! As I looked down at my Everett outside in the hallway. "Oh, look at this cute little doggy! Do you want to be my pet, you cute little guy? I gushed as Everett curled up by my feet. This morning (like many other mornings before) he was a dog. (Other things he's been: an alligator, a cheetah, a caterpillar, a gorilla, a snake, and a chameleon.). I love the way my children's bra...

Daily Life Week #1 - Mornings. Mornings start with a phone check. I open the blinds in my room and love the sunshine that beams in. I'm usually met by something like this. Then it's in to get the littlest one out of his crib and changed for the day. He's big into looking out the windows at the diggers and trucks convening for the day's work. Downstairs we go to open all of the blinds and enjoy more sunlight. Mornings are all about screen time for the boys. And bedhead hair, blankies, and mellowness.

Nolan and I snuck away for four nights to the beautiful city of Chicago. We loved every second of it! We did just enough to stay busy but not too much that it wasn't relaxing. We fell in love with that city. It was a blast. Here's a rundown:. DAY 1 - -. Delicious breakfast at Yolk. Water taxi to the Willis Tower. Walked streets and Millenium Park. Ate deep dish pizza at Lou's. Mmmm. DAY 2 - -. Rode bikes up the lakefront. Conservatory and Lincoln Park zoo. Navy Pier dinner and ferris wheel. DAY 3 - -.

We got up, fed and dressed the boys, dressed ourselves, and drove to church. We shushed and snuggled and directed during sacrament meeting, then taught and entertained during primary. We came home, fed and dressed the boys (again), then went out into the sunshine for some family time. We blew bubbles and ate otter pops, we rode bikes and practiced with boomerangs. Written this past Monday.}. Here are the blessings I noticed that came today as I did my best with a tight, painful chest, a hacking cough and...

Everything To Me: 4th of July Weekend
http://nolanandcorie.blogspot.com/2015/07/4th-of-july-weekend.html
4th of July Weekend. We had a fantastic, full 4th of July weekend! I'd say that although it snuck up on me this year and it didn't really feel 100% like the 4th, it was still a success. (Where is the time going? We kicked off the holiday weekend on Thursday with some cousin fun and a picnic at the park. Thanks, Mimi, for providing the food and fun! The kids played in the stream, ate watermelon on the blanket, and even had a shade umbrella set up just for them over the sand pit. Marshall did pretty well, ...

Daily Life Week #1 - Bedtime. I signed up for a photography class that is a year of capturing real-life, day-to-day moments. I hadn't been taking many pictures, and I wanted something that would light that photography spark in me again. I hope to document each week here on the blog. Jonah sleeps with his blue blanky, his Monkey and MiYim. Jonah's nightstand: The clock is set back half an hour so he doesn't get out of bed in the morning until 7:30, haha. Here is also a Valentine's Day card from Mimi a...
