Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: January 2016
http://ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 7, 2016. Christmas had past and we were ready to ring in the new year. We had no sales to go to the weekend after Christmas so there we didn't expect any last minute additions to our list of finds in 2015 but then it happened. We went back, later that night, to look again in case there were more things added to the trash pile. There were not but we were happy with what Monica found that afternoon. We brought grape jelly/chili sauce meatballs. These were amazing! After a lazy New Year's ...

Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: I Believe...I Believe
http://ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2016/09/i-believei-believe.html
Tuesday, September 13, 2016. I Believe.I Believe. Our next stop was for breakfast because we were too hungry to make the thirty minute journey to sale #2 without it! With our bellies full, we made our way to our second sale which we hoped would be a worthwhile trip. In the 1947 Christmas classic, Miracle on 34th Street, Susan (Natalie Wood) wishes for this house from Santa. In this picture, she can been seen at the front door. We believe.we believe. On Labor Day, we took an early evening walk around our ...

Sunday, July 31, 2016. Twelve Posts In Twenty-One Days: Episode Twelve - Four Local Sales in Just One Saturday Morning. Our goal of catching up on our blog postings is complete! Our goal was to write twelve posts within three weeks of July 11th and today marks our twelfth post and right at the deadline. This post is for the current weekend! Sale #2 was run by one of the area's busiest tag sale companies and one of our favorites. It was a "collector's estate" with "overloaded treasures". It sounde...Upsta...

Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: December 2015
http://ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2015_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 30, 2015. One Week Until Christmas. We are still a little behind on the blog but just a little. This post is for the week ending December 20, 2015. We are almost caught up! The first sale was run by an estate sale company that we know and was described as a "picker's delight" and "a vintage estate sale". We were hoping for the best. In the basement, we found this vintage dehumidifier built into this wall unit which was pretty cool. Here are the items we came home with that Saturday:.

Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: April 2016

Sunday, April 24, 2016. Waiting For The Digger. This post is for the weekend of April 9-10, 2016. We'll be caught up soon! We didn't expect to find any diggers on our list today but we hoped to find a few decent sales. Our list was fairly small. We had four sales with potential and we decided to start with the only one east of us. It began at 10am which meant that there was no need to get an early start. We would ease into the day and then step on the accelerator. We found a cool, old bar in the basement...

Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: June 2016
http://ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 6, 2016. It's been almost a month since we lasted posted and we are several weeks behind. We have been so busy lately but not too busy to go saling! We haven't missed a week! Now, it's time to get caught up on our blog.and we will! Finally, we arrived at our first sale of the day! We didn't make it on Friday as we originally planned and we didn't make it as early as we wished because of the flat tire but finally, we arrived! Above us was this very cool ceiling with starburst tiles! After our...

The Metiki Gal: Rumbler Round Up
http://themetikigal.blogspot.com/2011/09/rumbler-round-up.html
Monday, September 5, 2011. Slip and The Spinouts provided live rockabilly for most of the afternoon. Hats off to them for performing in this heat. I haven't seem them play in over a year - they are a tight trio with a great line-up of rockabilly classics and a little Johnnie Cash thrown in. On a side note, Slip has the best sideburns in the state - truly a work of art. This was a great show. I've been to all the Rumbler's shows for the past several years, I remember it at Cowboys and Bruce Rossmeyer'...

Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: May 2016
http://ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Four Sales In A Rush. We're still a little behind on our posts but we're getting closer to be caught up. This post is for the weekend of April 23rd and April 24th. Sale #1 was run by one of our favorite tag sale companies and was described as "three generations" and "entire contents". It took us a little longer to get here then we thought and the sale had started thirty minutes before our arrival. The basement was large and, while not a digger room, there was much to search.

Our Adventures Amongst The Ducks: July 2015
http://ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 30, 2015. We are still a week behind on our blogging. This post is for the weeknd of July 18th and 19th. We have no doubt that we will be caught up soon! Our first sale was listed as "antiques to vintage" and was run by a tag sale company that we know well. The pictures in the ad showed a couple of old Christmas things and that, alone, was enough to sell us on coming here. The basement was packed and there was plenty of places to search. The basement was really, really packed! The sunroom ...
