November 2011 | Hakuna Mutata, Shakespeare
http://severnmartina232.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Hakuna Mutata, Shakespeare. Savior of the World. Posted by Martina S. This class has ruined me for theater. There, I said it. Seriously though, before this semester I was just a naive girl who went to plays to hear a nice story. Now I analyze stage design and creative intent. The Blessing of Being Blind. Posted by Martina S. I think Shakespeare was a fan of Greek writings. Oedipus the King in particular. I posted. Just a side note, I learned in my World Civilization class a few weeks ago that Roman actor...

Put Thou A. Corkin it: Updates!
http://corkinaverill232.blogspot.com/2011/11/updates.html
Put Thou A. Corkin it. Thursday, November 17, 2011. We're basically going to look like this. Our show is moving along at a brilliant pace. We finally have the script. Officially done! There's one or two lines that need to be written in, but I wanted the cast to decide on the amount of modernness/length/intensity of these filler/recorded lines. But all of the ones we need memorized after thanksgiving are available to us! I added a potential ending onto our Group Blog. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Put Thou A. Corkin it: December 2011
http://corkinaverill232.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Put Thou A. Corkin it. Sunday, December 11, 2011. Wow First off, I cannot believe the semester is over. This FLEW by! Probably one of the most engaging semesters I've had (no pun intended). This class was a really creative and interesting way to learn about Shakespeare, and I really feel like I have learned a ton! I would like to refer to my Mid-Term Assessment Post. Because my sentiments on how I met the learning outcomes are very similar now as they were then. With some small differences:. I'm going to...

Put Thou A. Corkin it. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. The Better to See you with. GLOUCESTER gets his eyes gouged out. This is not a normal thing, even for Shakespeare. This horribly, bloody, terrible event that happens had to have a specific purpose. We can see without our eyes. O dear son Edgar,. The food of thy abused father's wrath! Might I but live to see thee in my touch,. I'ld say I had eyes again! Act IV scene I. What, art mad? A man may see how this world goes. Act IV scene VI. Act V scene III.

Wednesday, August 15, 2012. Reminisce on Shakespeare Class. Lovers of Shakespeare performance. This performance was really exciting because students like me not only wrote it but produced it and did a good job. And since I saw the whole process from beginning to end it was very satisfying to see this last performance in person. Loves Labours, a documentary. And here you have had the proof! For more info on the play you can visit their blog: Lovers of Shakespeare. Im glad to see youve got your blog still ...

Take One. | Hakuna Mutata, Shakespeare
http://severnmartina232.blogspot.com/2011/11/take-one.html
Hakuna Mutata, Shakespeare. Posted by Martina S. So, as a Production Group, we had our first read through of a very premature script on Friday. Can I just say? It was a blast! I'm so excited for this group! Though not quite as excited as Averill. Always seems to be.:) Here's a look at Eric reading some of Hamlet's lines. Quite dramatically. Sorry for the terrible quality, as it was done with a phone. And make sure to turn the sound all the way up! I'm also going to try to get this up on our group blog.
