Wednesday, December 24, 2014. If you follow us on social media, you probably already know the news we shared yesterday. After a great 12 week appointment this morning, we decided to let AC tell our big secret. #babysowell2015. Due the end of June! Yep, we've been keeping a big secret at our house for a couple of months. I came out of our master bedroom and mom was holding AC and I said, well I guess I better let Terry know. Her exact words, you've got to be kidding me. Ha! We scheduled our next two appoi...

Adventures as Mrs. Janney: I'm Turning into a Hippy
http://mrsjanney.blogspot.com/2013/01/im-turning-into-hippy.html
Friday, January 18, 2013. I'm Turning into a Hippy. I've lived in Oregon my entire life (minus the year I lived in England, but you get the point). And Oregon is kind of known for our hippy, tree-hugging ways. We are, after all, the home of Portland. I don't know if you've seen Portlandia. Or not, but let me just tell you. it's true. It is funny because it is true. And then it becomes not funny because it is so true. But now that I am pregnant, I am finding all of these hippy-ish tendencies coming to lig...

Adventures as Mrs. Janney: He PASSED!!!
http://mrsjanney.blogspot.com/2014/12/he-passed.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. I'm a few days late on posting this, but. PHIL PASSED HIS DEFENSE! I had really zero doubt in my mind that he would, but still there's a little part of you just can't wait for the relief that it is actually over. He did a great job with his presentation, his public questions went well, and I am sure he did a great job with the closed door portion too. So Phil is officially a doctor (of philosophy, not medicine). I'm no longer the most educated person in the house. :). I have ha...

Adventures as Mrs. Janney: Diapers! Or shall we say... deals on diapers
http://mrsjanney.blogspot.com/2015/06/diapers-or-shall-we-say-deals-on-diapers.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Or shall we say. deals on diapers. One thing I discovered very quickly when I became pregnant is that I have some underlying hippy tendencies. I didn't get to do the natural birth I wanted. I did nurse for a year, but it wasn't without its challenges. And that just leaves diapers. Then I realized that going out and about with all the cloth diaper stuff made the diaper bag HUGE. So I decided we would use disposables when we were going places. That pretty much left daycare...We ha...

Adventures as Mrs. Janney: 5 Years
http://mrsjanney.blogspot.com/2015/06/5-years.html
Friday, June 5, 2015. It seems to strange to me to say that today is our 5 year anniversary. For some reason that feels like a long time. So much longer than 4 years. Maybe it is because I probably can't call us newlyweds anymore. Although I don't think we have felt like newlyweds in a VERY long time. I just can't even believe all that the last 5 years has entailed:. Phil's dad's Liver Cancer. Phil finishing his PhD. Phil, I'm so glad I followed you around at Ryan's birthday party. :) I love you!

Adventures as Mrs. Janney: 2nd Anniversary Gift: Cotton
http://mrsjanney.blogspot.com/2012/06/2nd-anniversary-gift-cotton.html
Monday, June 18, 2012. 2nd Anniversary Gift: Cotton. Since we have been trying to get a new puppy (and since a new puppy would be expensive), we decided a while ago that our anniversary gift would be the dog. No big fancy dinner. No weekend getaway. Not fancy gift. The traditional second anniversary gift is Cotton. Our puppy visit was Saturday. 2 hours full of puppies. It was so much fun. I'm super excited again. :). When we got to the puppy visit yesterday, the people with the first pick had already cho...

Adventures as Mrs. Janney: Livers are Important: A Final Update
http://mrsjanney.blogspot.com/2013/12/livers-are-important-final-update.html
Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Livers are Important: A Final Update. On Monday, November 18, Phil's dad passed away. I hate to say he lost his battle with non-alcoholic Liver Cancer, because that sounds strange to me. When the doctors only gave him 6, maybe 12 months to live, he lived over 3 years. He definitely gave Liver Cancer a run for its money. I still don't know the answer. I don't think that there is one. Posted by Natalie Mrs. Janney. December 3, 2013 at 9:30 PM. Then I can e-mail you back.
