I first had these at this great hole-in-the-wall Egyptian restaurant in Allston called Azama Grill. They mold the meat around a skewer, but I decided to skip the wooden skewer and just made the same long shape. kind of a like a sausage or a long skinny hamburger. 1 yellow onion, quartered. 1/4 - 1/2 purple onion, quartered. 1 teaspoon ground cumin.
