Christmas Vacation | My journey
https://lovinginaction.wordpress.com/2015/01/01/christmas-vacation
And my own brand of screwing it up. January 1, 2015. Unfortuntely, I got pretty sick and lost my voice. Determined, however, we still went out to eat with a friend, who eventually sent us home to bed without dancing or partying. The next day we read the Christmas story, opened his three gifts, and then he played quietly while I slept off sickness. Thankfully I had the opportunity to make it up to him. We took a vacation down to a city in southern Haiti. View all posts by Anna ». Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
New Eyes | My journey
https://lovinginaction.wordpress.com/2015/05/23/new-eyes
And my own brand of screwing it up. May 23, 2015. Recently, my little sister Sammie and her friend Kelsey were here. My friends invited us to a pool. Upon arrival I commented, Oh what a nice pool! It wasn’t until halfway through swimming that I took an honest look around and realized, they had good reason to not get their hair wet. We were swimming in what looked like a many year abandoned pool. Just a girl who lives in Haiti and happens to know Jesus. View all posts by Anna ». One response ». They say a...

Failure | My journey
https://lovinginaction.wordpress.com/2015/06/20/failure
And my own brand of screwing it up. June 20, 2015. It was not that long ago.The email had been received, the interview scheduled. The day had arrived and I stood in front of the mirror in my black suit. I had been given money for a new suit for Christmas. After mad sales shopping, I was able to stretch that money to include a blouse and new pumps as well. Yet standing in front of the mirror I felt like a fraud. So, as I reach this point, where my body is physically exhausted and my brain is still racing,...

katie loves haiti: Smelly Feet
http://katieloveshaiti.blogspot.com/2015/02/smelly-feet.html
Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Last year, I had a student named David in my class. He was and continues to be the class clown, often disrupting lessons with his antics. For example, one day when he noticed a preschooler getting attention because he had peed his pants, David announced to all his friends: look I'm going to pee myself too.and he did! There is no limit to what this boy will do to get a laugh. My feet smell terrible! They smell all day long! I wrote a song about it: wow! So, I grabbed a paper a...

What do you get when you combine a new sink installation, the cheapest and most ineffective silicone on earth, very strict instructions not to touch the newly installed sink, and a constant bombard of children and teachers who keep touching the sink? How a little bit of faith can go a long, long way. Monthly Archives: August 2013. August 19, 2013. By Phil & Angela. Our time back in Canada is almost up! It has truly been a blur- a relaxing, exciting, adventurous blur full of family, friends, nature, (and work of course! I suppose its only fair to keep you updated on what we did while we were back (and to subtly show our American friends how awesome and beautiful Canada is). We went fishing at Angela’s parents farm-. And wore our battle scars with pride.

Letters to my Future Spouse. Tuesday, April 10, 2012. Hey i know this is a bit overdue but. I finally made up my mind and I'm ready to take this journey head on. Instead of flooding you with my entire life story here in Letter 1, I'd save all the drama for the coming months, years. whatever. I'll just share what happened in the past weeks. :). Holy Week: off to the Ilocos provinces. I'll take you through the places we visited but I'm sure we'll be going back to Ilocos, just you and I. Your husband, Chris.
