Learning to love Jesus everyday in everything. Friday, 10 April 2015. I've always viewed them askance, those mothers who seem to do it all, and without turning a hair. As someone who is easily overwhelmed by life they can set a benchmark which I feel is unachievable. Sometimes I wonder if they really are as wonderful as they seem, other times I am just amazed at all they can do without missing a step. Super-mums. I don't find them endearing, and I have never aspired to be one. Voices in our Homes.

Well, I have had a crash course in remembering. Two weeks ago we got a call and took on our first foster child. A newborn baby. It's true of whatever we do, isn't it? I’ve sometimes found it hard to feel as though Jesus really does identify and sympathise with the pressures and stresses of Motherhood. After all, he was a single man. Children always wanting something from you. People wanted Jesus to do stuff for them, they followed him around asking for something from him all the time. Like children, they were not always grateful. Children always touching you.
