Loving the City: Monday

http://www.lovingthecity.blogspot.com/2009/07/monday.html

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Monday, July 20, 2009. Yes, thank you, we do. (It's Lake Erie, by the way). The trip also gave me a chance to learn more about the vision and values of the organization, many of which I am very excited about. It's pretty amazing that it was started just 5 years ago, and now has 74 (? I wish I had pictures to post of these kids. They really are beautiful. Hopefully I can get some before Summer School is finished (in 2 weeks). If you love ...

Loving the City: 2 Weeks Down (almost)

http://www.lovingthecity.blogspot.com/2009/07/2-weeks-down-almost.html

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. Thursday, July 9, 2009. 2 Weeks Down (almost). I have now officially been a teacher for almost 2 weeks. I started last Monday, after they called at the last minute and asked if I could help with Summer School. I have tried to post on here since then, but for some reason my home computer won't cooperate (it's rather old and ornery). I apologize for the delay. So the job is incredibly hard (maybe impossible) and I am not impressing the oth...

The Thompson Family: July 2011

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 12, 2011. 4th of July Fun. Daddy the 'camp director' had a fun filled weekend for us to celebrate the 4th! Friday night we went to Yards park for sprinkler playing, live music and a picnic. Every once in a while you find something in DC that isn't advertised to tourists, and it is so relaxing to be able to enjoy a little bit of DC with no crowds. This park has water sprayers and huge grassy lawns overlooking the river. Friday nights they have live music and no one is there! Usually they get...

The Thompson Family: September 2010

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 23, 2010. This is an old picture I just came across but shows a great rainy day activity or just a good way to cheer everyone up if anyone's fussy. They all three love the music. I'm very thankful to have a husband who is so musically inclined to teach them these things because I'm basically tone-deaf. Notice little Irby flipping through a Fisher-Price catalogue. They reel them in early, don't they? Needless to say, he's pretty excited about that. Hilarious. Friday, September 10, 2010.

The Thompson Family: March 2011

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 13, 2011. First Day of School. Irby's first day of school in DC! I walked in to pick him up last week to hear him say, "Quiero un bicho, por favor.gracias.ADIOS! I'd like a bug(sticker) please, thank you, BYE! I was totally shocked and it kind of made me feel like my 3 year old is a CIA operative. He is loving it. I'm not expecting him to come away fluent in Spanish, but I love that his mind is being stretched in this different way. Spring come quickly, we are growing very weary of the cold!

The Thompson Family: May 2011

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 10, 2011. We had a great Easter a few weeks back. It was such a blessing to get to spend Easter with both some old friends and some new(er) ones. We enjoyed an egg hunt in the Brown's yard! The 3 boys checking out their loot. Ve got Griff and Charlie is on the ground. Both are WORN OUT! Irby and his best bud Addis. Griffin finds a 'ball! Griffin, ready to plow through some candy. Ansley, Ellie, Anita, Louisa, Benton, Addis, and Irby enjoying the picnic lunch. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Friday, April 22, 2011. Is He Really 4 Already? A few pictures from Irby's 'pirate party.' We had a last minute change in theme upon the arrival of the most incredible pirate ship from Ahnie and Papa. I mean if you moms of boys (maybe they have girl stuff too? The Thompson Family: January 2012

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Funny Story and Thanksgiving in AL. First I have to tell you one of the most hilarious things about having identical twins. We don't have many full length mirrors (or at least mirrors that the little people can see themselves in without a stool), so whenever we are up in my bathroom we play this game in the full length mirror: Charlie stands in front of the mirror, I ask him, who is that Charlie? He yells, 'BIN! Nana, note the adequate supply of life jackets:). On the way back ...

Sunday, October 31, 2010. A Visit from Kirsten. Charlie.you can never be too prepared. 2 EPI pens in hand. I guess he takes after his Nana, Safety Susan! Happy Griff with his favorite musical instrument, the moracas (mostly he likes to bang them very loudly on things, like drum sticks). My bike buddy. He's a great partner on the road. Never ending narration is good distraction on big hills! Sunday, October 24, 2010. Colorado Pictures, Finally. First of all, I want to say I am sorely disappointed in mysel...

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2013/05/a-year-in-review.html

Thursday, May 2, 2013. A Year in Review. Brace yourself.lots of pics, so if you're not family you might stop here. Here's what we've been up to since Peter was born. Sorry for the terrible formatting, I don't have much time! Anne Caroline stayed with us for the summer! We moved from our townhouse on Capitol Hill over to the Palisades. Peter got chunkier and chunkier. We went to Colorado. Lots of dressing up like super heros. Nana and Grandoc few up a few times. We went to the beach. This guy got cuter.

The Thompson Family: November 2011

http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 8, 2011. I took this picture on our way to pick up Irby from school. We had stopped at the cleaners, which is a very exciting place because they have a dog AND they give you suckers. As you can see, my boys love it! Thursday, November 3, 2011. Halloween and Cow Farm. I know the kids are all making strange faces, but how cute are my boys and how handsome is my husband? Irby drew the design.he wanted it to have a tounge like a lizard. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://thompsonnomads.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. As if things weren't interesting enough around here. And here is a picture Irby drew in the church bulletin of our family now. I'm on the left with the baby in my huge belly. Notice the I love Dad at the top. A hike to Great Falls last weekend. The boys were mesmerized with the Falls. It is pretty amazing that we have such natural beauty so close to the city, and it was a gorgeous fall day, high around 70 and sunny. LOVE FALL! Griff is in the green. Sunday, October 9, 2011.
