Tuesday, July 12, 2011. 4th of July Fun. Daddy the 'camp director' had a fun filled weekend for us to celebrate the 4th! Friday night we went to Yards park for sprinkler playing, live music and a picnic. Every once in a while you find something in DC that isn't advertised to tourists, and it is so relaxing to be able to enjoy a little bit of DC with no crowds. Thursday, September 23, 2010. This is an old picture I just came across but shows a great rainy day activity or just a good way to cheer everyone up if anyone's fussy. They all three love the music. I'm very thankful to have a husband who is so musically inclined to teach them these things because I'm basically tone-deaf. Notice little Irby flipping through a Fisher-Price catalogue. Sunday, March 13, 2011. First Day of School. Irby's first day of school in DC! I walked in to pick him up last week to hear him say, "Quiero un bicho, por favor.gracias.ADIOS! I'd like a bug(sticker) please, thank you, BYE! I was totally shocked and it kind of made me feel like my 3 year old is a CIA operative. He is loving it. I'm not expecting him to come away fluent in Spanish, but I love that his mind is being stretched in this different way. Spring come quickly, we are growing very weary of the cold!

Tuesday, May 10, 2011. We had a great Easter a few weeks back. It was such a blessing to get to spend Easter with both some old friends and some new(er) ones. We enjoyed an egg hunt in the Brown's yard! The 3 boys checking out their loot. Ve got Griff and Charlie is on the ground. Both are WORN OUT! Irby and his best bud Addis. Griffin finds a 'ball! Sorry for the terrible formatting, I don't have much time! Anne Caroline stayed with us for the summer! We moved from our townhouse on Capitol Hill over to the Palisades. Peter got chunkier and chunkier. We went to Colorado. Lots of dressing up like super heros. Nana and Grandoc few up a few times. We went to the beach. This guy got cuter.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. As if things weren't interesting enough around here. And here is a picture Irby drew in the church bulletin of our family now. I'm on the left with the baby in my huge belly. Notice the I love Dad at the top. A hike to Great Falls last weekend. The boys were mesmerized with the Falls. It is pretty amazing that we have such natural beauty so close to the city, and it was a gorgeous fall day, high around 70 and sunny. LOVE FALL! Griff is in the green. Sunday, October 9, 2011.
