This week went FAST! We learned so much about school and how to be a Warrior Way Student. Please ask your child about what it means to be a Warrior Way Student. It was very nice to learn about your child from their All About Me poster. Thank you for taking the time to create it with them. We tried to start Language Arts this week but didn’t get very far because of needing to take time to introduce more school routines. Below you will read about what types of things we will be working on the next week.

The ABC’s of The Looping Classrooms. This year kindergarten students will be getting to go to art class with Mrs. Hoff. Once each 6 day cycle. You might want to consider putting your child in older clothes that day! Your child is welcome to bring in birthday treats on or around his/her birthday. If they have a summer birthday, we try to do those around their 1/2 birthday time. School policy states that birthday invitations may not be passed out at school. Our door is always open. About Mrs. Brincks. My name is Julie Brincks and I will be your child’s teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade. I am excited that we will be spending the next two years together watching your kindergartner explore and learn lots of new things. I grew up on a farm near the small town of Wall Lake, Iowa and always had the feeling that I would be a lower elementary teacher. I also completed my Masters Degree in Education in 2005 from Viterbo University. We are also avid Iowa Hawkeye fans.

The Village of Lovington
A small town with a big heart moving forward to improve our community.". Parks and Special Projects. Alma Fair, Clerk. The Village was first incorporated in 1873. Moultrie County, in which Lovington is located, was originally part of Shelby and Macon counties. The county was named after Colonel William Moultrie by the Governor in 1843. About 1848 Andrew and John Love moved into town. The first post office was established in the Love's home and the Village was named after the brothers in 1850.
