Was ist ein Drachenboot? Ein Drachenboot ist ein ca. 13 Meter langes und etwa 250 kg schweres, offenes Paddelboot, das ursprünglich aus China stammt. Zumeist stellt es durch Bemalung und/oder Schnitzarbeiten sowie einen dekorativen Drachenkopf und -schwanz einen stilisierten chinesischen Drachen dar. Die Boote werden heute weltweit als Sportboote oder bei Veranstaltungen verwendet und auch dann als Drachenboot bezeichnet, wenn auf die dekorativen Elemente verzichtet wird.
