The Comment Tree: Am I A Feminist?
http://thecommenttree.blogspot.com/2011/10/am-i-feminist.html
Maybe one day I'll learn to form an opinion. And start a blog. Sunday, 9 October 2011. Am I A Feminist? I often hear women asked, "So are you a feminist? Personally I wouldn't know how to answer that question, mainly because I don't know what the genuine meaning is anymore. It has been blurred to extremes, from the "I will never cook for a man", to "Beyonce can crotch-dance in her hot pants because girls run the world". Say what? So am I a feminist? 1) Feminists who hate men; and. This is about freedom o...

A quick tour of Lackan Cottage Farm. Events & Courses. Spoon carving workshop 12th November. Terms & Conditions. Visit or contact us. Our farm was established around 1840, and the holding has changed little since then, apart from some modernisation in the 1950’s. The land was once bog, but has been improved over the years – the original buildings are still in use, and the property had been passed on through inheritance until the elderly owners sold it to us in May 2012. Lower the ground level, and use li...

An incident happened a couple of months back which I considered blogging about, but instead decided to let it go. That is, until a friend shared someone else's story with me - one that made me realise this is happening all the time, and that perhaps more of us need to share our stories. As for the anti-cycling BBC viewers and their comments, I have to say one thing. THERE IS NO ROAD TAX. Road tax was abolished in 1937. Yes, 1937. At the end of the day it's important to get the facts right before building a battleground. We all pay for roads, and we all must share them. More helpful info here: http:/ ipayroadtax.com/.

Maybe one day I'll learn to form an opinion. And start a blog. Friday, 9 March 2012. Recently, Linda Grant. Collected a staggering number of stories on Twitter, revealing first-hand sexism by women across generations. It seems some of the attitudes bandied about decades ago are still alive and well today. Women still get asked about their relationship status in job interviews. And get harassed on the street. I realised that most of mine seemed to revolve around the same topic. Sports retail. 8220;Oh I've...

Maybe one day I'll learn to form an opinion. And start a blog. Thursday, 14 October 2010. Get outta here. Running, as far as I've always been concerned, was something crazy people did - the kind of people who swim outdoors in winter and eat raw eggs. I wasn't one of those people. I've always hated running. Yet, because I hated running so much, I always wanted to run a half marathon. I like a challenge. Then in May this year, I heard that the brilliant Muireann (aka Bangs and a Bun. This is how it went.

University of Essex Colchester. It took me some time but I eventually purchased. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Maybe one day I'll learn to form an opinion. And start a blog. Wednesday, 1 December 2010. Bloggers - how often do you get anonymous and abusive comments posted on your blogs? And to the rest of you - how many times have you read an article or blog post and found a nasty comment posted by "Anon"? Those kinds of comments, I've learned, are called "trolls". Fitting really. I read about this on the New York times website. After the article (written by one of their own staff) was shared by Facebook. It seems...
