Life in the mitt: Getting Shroomy
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2011/10/getting-shroomy.html
Life in the mitt. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. I had a "doh" moment last week. Last month in our RSM (that's what we call our monthly Relief Society Meeting) we taught the sisters some recipes that are contained in a jar. It is from a book called "Dinner is in the Jar". The ingredients are usually pasta, grains, legumes and dried foods and spices. Add ons can be canned meat or vegies. I could dry my own for half the cost! So I did. 11 pounds worth. My basement still smells like mushrooms. After drying th...

Life in the mitt. Monday, December 19, 2011. We wanted to wait until child #3 came home before we got our tree so he could be part of the traditional finding, cutting, etc. Unfortunately, he got home a week before Christmas- so the pickins' are a bit lean now. Here's our tree, in the midst of setup:. I love my family! You are all so great. Merry Christmas! December 20, 2011 at 11:20 AM. I didnt know you were blogging again.sorta. ;-). Life in the mitt: Something Green
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2011/10/something-green.html
Life in the mitt. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. The next picture on my list was something green. I didn't want to go with the typical- an outdoor picture. There is plenty of green here. At least there was . . . At any rate, I thought I would show what I had for breakfast one morning. I have been making smoothies with fresh spinach but often had the problem of some in the bag going bad before I could eat it. I sometimes forget I have spinach in my fridge . . I can hear my kids groaning. Me and my main Man.

Life in the mitt: August 2009
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Life in the mitt. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. The Washing Machine did it. You know how clothing items seem to disappear after the laundry is done? And it is always a mystery where those things go? We can only assume that the washing machine is the culprit. Well, I have a story to tell you about missing clothes. I can laugh about it now. So I went through the clothes, checked the laundry, checked a few other less obvious places. Then we wondered "Did we leave them in Chicago? Fast forward to last Monday w...

Life in the mitt: Back again!
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2010/09/back-again.html
Life in the mitt. Sunday, September 12, 2010. Well, after an 11 month hiatus, I've decided to blog again. I guess after kid #4 left home, it seemed our life together here in the mitt was rather blah. All, I could write about was, work, church, hubby, repeat. Didn't seem all that interesting even to me. My kids' lives are WAY more interesting than what I am up to. But perhaps I can find something to share occasionally. He is the dad of a piano student. That helps. My house looks like a war zone:. Im proud...

Life in the mitt: May 2009
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Life in the mitt. Tuesday, May 5, 2009. My philosophy of piano lessons has changed over the last 5 years. I think piano lessons should benefit the masses, rather than just a select few with "talent". I came across this video, which I think celebrates this very concept- and shows that music is for life! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Me and my main Man. Simple template. Powered by Blogger.

Life in the mitt: March 2009
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Life in the mitt. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. There was a crime at our house this morning. Some kidnappers came and took our daughter! They were cleverly disguised in their pjs. They crept down the stairs and into her room. And carried her up the stairs, blindfolded. All the while she was saying "Mom, did you know about this? Hehehehe, of course I did! They carried her out to the car . . . Stuffed her in . . . And drove away . . . . To be continued . . . Monday, March 30, 2009. You may say . . . We like to ...

Life in the mitt: September 2011
http://livinginthemiddleofthemitt.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Life in the mitt. Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Today is cloud day. I had a lot of fun with this assignment. When I woke up this morning it was a bit grey and I didn't think I would get a good picture. We decided to go up north for the day and visit our property. The sky began to clear the closer we got. Here's my first picture:. Then I started to see possibilities from where I was standing:. As we were pulling into our driveway this caught my eye. It was a relaxing day just walking, looking and driving...
