New life at the water mill. Thursday, 6 October 2011. Well we had our mystery guest from Enjoy England and amazingly we got 5 stars! Can't believe it as lets face it haven't got a clue what we're doing. Disgraced myself by welling and brimming when I was told which started Neil of and then the Enjoy England inspector almost welled too. New life at the water mill. Tuesday, 21 June 2011. The end is nigh. Really are getting close to the end of the building works. The kitchen is in and very nice except can never find anything as now (mostly) in cupboards and not on the floor, garage, cellar etc as prev. The "snug" is now really quite pleasant, previously green walls, red panelling and the infamous slidey shutter. Neil has built an amazing new deck to replace the rotten old one on the back of the building. Look at this fantastic chair.

New life at the water mill. Tuesday, 19 October 2010. So we've made it. All went smoothly for most of us. Though not neil and the cats. Blackie (cat) had a shit just on the other side of Leyburn (nothing personal) so all three arrived looking pale and cold. Else very uneventful. Amazing removal company, all as smooth as you could hope for, sun is shining and alls well. Till . Sunday, 10 October 2010. New life at the water mill. Tuesday, 25 January 2011. Hooray at last the new boiler is in, look at that beauty! Now thats more like it, bit better than the old one. So that monster took someone nearly a day to cut up with a welding rig cause it was so bloody heavy no one could move the bugger. So we now have unlimited hot water! Interestingly (or not) those floor tiles were originally used for the floor in one of the 2 kilns in the mill, the corn etc was put on top of them to dry. So there you go.
