Friday, 24 August 2007. White Water Rafting and Rodeo. Everyone, except me, went white water rafting. On the Wednesday. They were raving about it all day and the next day and the following day - so I think they enjoyed it. If you are unsure open the images attached and see if you can find a photo without. Thursday, 3 January 2008. Kari and Dave organised a range of people and their kids to drop in for New Years. We had met all of them over the period of the year at different events so it was great to catch. Up with them all. A couple were Aussie girls who had married Canadian boys. The night kicked along with the introduction of margarita's. For the girls. I used Lisa's Christmas presents - salt, glasses and recipe book. A little tequila, cointreau, margarita. Mix and you have a party. THINGS I HAVE LEARNT.

Thursday, 3 January 2008. Skiing at Fernie Resort in the Rockies. We headed down to Fernie for a ski on the Saturday. A world class ski hill. It had been snowing there all week so the powder was magic. It was also a perfect skiing day - about -5C and a light snow. Liam’s snowboarding continues to improve – he is looking more natural. Lisa and I snuck off the mountain a half an hour early so we could look at Fernie township (and perhaps visit the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory). Horse race starting gate.

Monday, 30 July 2007. It may have been her birthday last. Week and she got fireworks to celebrate but there has been no doubt this. You put your decks chairs on top and then wander off to see the acts at the small stages before returning to the tarp for the big evening show. Its a little unfair thinking its a folk festival - we saw some brilliant. Lots of great food - mung bean, tofu, chick pea. all served on plates in this environmentally. Friendly world.
