Thursday, April 3, 2008. Reciprocating Motion and rotary motion. Reciprocating motion is a backwards and forwards movement in a straight line. Sewing machine needles work with this type of motion. NB This is different to oscillating motion, which is backwards and forwards movement along a circular path. When something moves in a circle it is called rotary motion. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. A Bio-profile on my project mechanism. Abilities:Move up and down as a toy as well as work as a display item in the house. Stability: Have basic stability and can stand . Weakness: It is too colourful. Strength:It works prefectly.and can atract people"s attention. Uses: For play time and display item (For total destruction on the kids' mind) just kidding.
