Election Coverage Roundup | The LSE Observer
https://lseobserver.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/election-coverage-roundup
About the LSE Observer. March 4, 2008 at 1:49 pm. The Beaver focused its coverage in todays issue on last weeks elections, even including a post-election pullout section featuring the goofiest pictures of the Sabb-elects they could find (but don’t worry, they included embarrassing pictures of the Media Group crew, too). Additionally, a somewhat mish-mashed article by Kevin Perry (presumable in his toga. 8216;s 36% success rate in predicting the election outcome. Entry filed under: Elections. Post –...

About the LSE Observer. In the Name of Satire. March 13, 2008 at 12:57 pm. Featuring what one can only imagine is the eponymous sanctuary on the cover, looking like something out of Tolkien, it may also be a tweak on the Ivory Tower, from which it rains derision upon any establishment within the school. Not the least is our motto, which has been adjusted to become rerum causas ridere (to know the funny causes of things). Other targets are the Students Union (obviously), The Houghton Group. Newsy Day and Future Prospects | The LSE Observer

About the LSE Observer. Newsy Day and Future Prospects. March 12, 2008 at 10:47 am. Yesterday was a bit of a wash, wasn’t it? This Observer was felled by a nasty cold and failed to post much of anything. Whoops. Today, however, we’re back at it, and there is plenty of new material to tackle. Between yesterday’s Beaver (including numerous ruminations by SU officers – outgoing and incoming alike) and today’s newly released Sanctuary, there should be a lot to write about. Beaver Strikes at ‘Old Boys Club’ | The LSE Observer
https://lseobserver.wordpress.com/2008/03/04/beaver-strikes-at-old-boys-club
About the LSE Observer. Beaver Strikes at ‘Old Boys Club’. March 4, 2008 at 1:05 pm. The Beaver hit Houghton Street today and its front page was splashed with pictures of the recently-elected Sabbs. With the headline ‘Jobs for the boys’. The article then suggests that the four – two of whom won by narrow margins and one who ran unopposed – are a cliquey ‘old boys club’ of Students Union establishment figures. Goodness gracious! More of the Beaver review to come. Entry filed under: Uncategorized.

Gunk-A-Sabb | The LSE Observer
https://lseobserver.wordpress.com/2008/03/06/gunk-a-sabb
About the LSE Observer. March 6, 2008 at 4:10 pm. The long-awaited ( by this Observer at least. Gunking of our Sabbs finally took place this afternoon. We were sent this video of the events as they went down:. The Sabbs deserve points for being good sports, but those trash bags and shower caps seem to lessen the blow, don’t they? It’s also worth noting that the deliverer of the gunking got soiled himself, when Fadhil and Libby charged him and gave him a sloppy hug. Entry filed under: Campus News.

About the LSE Observer. LSE Sanctuary on the Ropes. March 3, 2008 at 3:06 pm. Way back in January we wrote. About how the Media Group was facing some serious competition with several new student publications hitting Houghton Street. Well after that, things went rather quiet, didn’t they? With its emphasis on satire and arts coverage. But after the first issue debuted back in January, Houghton Street has gone wanting. Is probably a good place to start.
