The most popular and quickest from the south is from Oban to Craignure which has frequent sailings, takes about 40 minutes and needs to be booked (Caledonian McBraynes 0800 066 5000 or www.calmac.co.uk. A pair of golden eagles plus their baby greeted us over the house on the first evening, chasing away a young white-tailed eagle. There were mother plus three cubs (otters) on the bay seen from the house, which we saw most days. C and P Liggett. Like home from home but somehow homelier! What a lovely, welcoming cottage!
