Tell me a story. no prompt. Recovery. for all of us. →. August 12, 2014. It’s raining. it’s actually pouring and it has been for hours. somehow i can’t cry anymore. the grey day is very calming to me, making me feel at once small and yet timeless. appropriate. like my body is conducting my soul toward a meeting set years ago. i feel the storm is endless. The mountains of disbelief (did i say that? The next hours were just pain and more pain. an ultrasound that was excruciating. Then she was sitting alone...

Yoga, Mama? | Piles of Laundry
https://imsufyan.wordpress.com/mother-yoga
I am a Viniyoga trained teacher at the 500 hour level. I have over 11 years of teaching experience in both public and private classes. After I became a mother I struggled to have a regular yoga practice. I would come to my mat feeling the pressure of dishes in the sink, dinners to be made, email to be checked, and PILES OF LAUNDRY to be folded, and find myself. Distracted that I would give up and go back to mom-work. Frustrating! To practice with. I modify to make whatever I am doing appropriate for ...

snow love | Piles of Laundry
https://imsufyan.wordpress.com/2014/01/20/snow-love
Winter Solstice →. January 20, 2014. Snowy sunrise on our street. Laila is truly an experience seeker, a sensation seeker. She demands to go out and feel the snow in her bare feet at 7am whenever we have snow (or rain for that matter, or even frost). Making big plans, diagramming a path for sleds in our yard…. Sledding at a nearby playground turned ski slope! And when I left work, the snow was coming down hard. I drove under 20mph the entire way home. And I still love snow days. June 18, 2014 at 5:24 pm.

Recovery. for all of us. August 22, 2014. I am pretty sure my recovery is going amazingly well. My surgical wounds are practically fully healed, and I am moving really well. My son seems to understand what happened pretty well. He seems calm about it, and his questions are very direct and we answer him with direct facts about the pregnancy and the surgery. You shouldn’t DO THAT! 8221; Poor sweetheart. So now I am pointing out all the good things my body is doing and how healthy and strong I feel. What I ...

Newer posts →. January 23, 2014. This year solstice finally made sense to me. The rising sun. i took this years ago when i was struggling with my newborn son who never slept. talk about beginnings forged in fire…. We were invited to come together with our community in a beautiful, heart felt ceremony of renewal and human connection to nature. For me, this was new year’s eve. What a beautiful thing to do for solstice! It was inspiring, all the thought that went into this evening. About making peace with t...

A Bun in the Oven. Piles of Laundry in the Holy Land. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Ramat Gan, Israel. We went to an Israeli playground in. I don't want to exaggerate the experience because after all, nothing actually. Most of what went on was like an undercurrent, so it had a big impact on a mental/emotional level, but technically everything was. He is palestinian with a Jerusalem ID which means she retains the right to enter Israel as a Palestinian by maintaining a Jerusalem address and paying taxes there ...

A Bun in the Oven. Piles of Laundry in the Holy Land. Sunday, July 17, 2011. Today was Laila's first day with no diaper going out of the house! She did great and we had no oopsies at all. In fact she didn't use one single diaper today. Not one! Go Laila Go- -in the potty! Laila in flight ("watch dis JUMP mama! And when she runs she says, "Watch dis EXTRA fast!
