Solen gassade och temperaturen var betydligt högre än Yosemite-dalen som vi lämnat några timmar tidigare. Det kändes på något sätt farligt med den lättantändliga bensinen i den varma och torra ökenmiljön. Ibland var vi tvungna att stanna och fota öknen. Elli var alltid coolast eftersom hon hade störst kamera.
