Grace Paretree: April 2015
http://graceparetree.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Knitting, crochet, books, coffee . . . Sunday, 19 April 2015. In which I finally complete some knitting . The seldom-felt joy of completing a knitting project. This is a cardigan for my daughter. This is the 1-2 year size which will hopefully be a good fit. The yarn is much nicer than it looks here - it's Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in a lovely pale green. The cable effect pattern is a trick achieved with slipped stitches, so it was much easier than it looks - perfect. Next project: a shawl for me!

I have also be rootling through this superb stash of old patterns, bought for me as a job lot from a church sale by a friend. I am usua...

Friday, September 2, 2011. Inspired by The Traditional Hungarian Honey Cake. These little pouches are imitations of the traditional Hungarian Honey Cake. Well, these ones you can't eat, so there's no disillusion, yet they are as pretty as the cakes and surely for some they awake long forgotten, heart-warming memories of countryside summer fairs with carousels, merry-go-rounds, live music and dozens of cheap plastic toys back in the black and white era.
