Unbelievable Unbearable London: August 2014
http://lucreslondon.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Andrew Lucre on London transport, films, art, media. Saturday, 16 August 2014. Clogs, kangaroos, penguins and the strangeness of foot. Please: if anyone else is destined for a little 'snuff' of the candle this week is there any chance it could all be over by Monday? Anyone remember Lauren Bacall: brave bitch to have acceded to a Lars von Trier film. And like Robin Williams, she never rested on laurels. The Forger. Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe. Popped off this week. Nowwho stole my beans. From con...
Unbelievable Unbearable London: December 2014
http://lucreslondon.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Andrew Lucre on London transport, films, art, media. Monday, 22 December 2014. Glimpse of an eternity. Beauty is unbearable, drives us to despair, offering us for a minute the glimpse of an eternity that we should like to stretch out over the whole of time. A Song of Good and Evil. By Philippe Sands and starring Vanessa Redgrave, Laurent Naouri and Guillaume de Chassy, played at the South Bank Centre Purcell Room. 29-30 November, thereafter in Stockholm (Jan 14, 2015) and Nuremberg and across Europe.
Unbelievable Unbearable London: June 2015
http://lucreslondon.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Andrew Lucre on London transport, films, art, media. Saturday, 27 June 2015. A bit of earth…. Film composer James Horner died when his light aircraft crashed last week. Listen to the entire score. Horner may not have broken new ground as such in film composition, but he knew how to be simple; how to develop his thematic material (perhaps with heart on sleeve-no less engaging for that); how to seduce an audience into the director's imagery. How to awaken the soul. Now there's a poignant OFSTED. Destined t...
Unbelievable Unbearable London: November 2014
http://lucreslondon.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Andrew Lucre on London transport, films, art, media. Friday, 7 November 2014. Probably more a tangent to Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s new film Winter Sleep. But it was Andrew’s juxta-film so hey what the ho! Can’t say that I could ever be an acolyte of Cannes (with the greatest respect to its participants). But in my opinion Winter Sleep. Deserved its accolade. Sitting in an uncomfortable seat at the New York premiere having missed my yoga classes I still managed 3 and a quarter hours later without squirming.
Unbelievable Unbearable London: so.....btw...wtsfk

Andrew Lucre on London transport, films, art, media. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. Mr Andrew Lucre's websites are little read and have no general interest. Oh really! Well: I think we could easily fix that problem if our egos were as inflated as many is a 'farce-book' addict:. President Obama is on The Daily Show. Tonight- well actually it was this afternoon. What a little watched Comedy Central show can do to grind traffic to a halt in Manhattan;). On July 21, 3015. Do I REALLY need to spoon-feed and link!

Ravings of a Madwoman
Ravings of a Madwoman. An excess of thoughts. without rhyme or reason. Friday, January 15, 2016. Is That a Hat? Today, my dad asked me something that surprised me so much I had to make him repeat what he said. Never in my whole life was I asked such a question (from my parents), and it brought a deluge of nostalgia and longing inside me that I thought I was gonna cry right then and there. You stopped drawing, have you? I wanted to shout and cry and tell my dad, "Yes! You just noticed now? Never travel in...
Unbelievable Unbearable London
Andrew Lucre on London transport, films, art, media. Tuesday, 3 April 2018. 4days (as of April 3) left to listen in: BBC Radio 3's Late Junction International Women's Day show. Fab crazy, beautiful, soulful music/sound and gobsmacking comments about how sound men still see women as aliens to their world. Amble Skuse a member of the Orchestra For Females And Laptops aka OFFAL recounts male attitudes on sound jobs and it was even suggested to another member that she use a male internet pseudonym! I am so s...
