Lucy's Adventures in Nantes
Lucy's Adventures in Nantes. Tuesday, 15 February 2011. This is lovely my class on my last day of school. FASCINATION our fav song. Agathe, Romane and Me. Agathe, Romane et Chloé. The last bunch from the AFS Orientation in Paris to leave the airport. 6 Kiwis, 6 South Africans, 1 Argentinean, 1 Australian and 1 Chinese. Some have been here for 5 months and others for 2 months. I'm back home now in Christchurch. Finally, a song that reminds me of all the good times I had with my friends in France. We tried...
Lucy's Letters from America
Lucy's Letters from America. As I creep towards decrepitude (I'm nearly 56! I look back at at fabulous 40 year professional life as a bass player, and I have seen some amazing places and met some incredible people, including being privileged to meet and shake hands with Ella Fitzgerald. Right now, I'm pretty excited as I've flown out to New Orleans for the MOLA (Major Orchestra Librarian's Association) Conference which is happening over the weekend of 11-14th May. Wednesday, 23 May 2012. As one of my nob...
Lucy in Nigeria
Sannu da zuwa. Welcome to my blog. Wednesday, 29 February 2012. If you haven't been to Lagos, then you haven't been to Nigeria! I have had this phrase said to me so many times that I have been desperate to visit the largest and most talked about city in Nigeria – Lagos. And finally. . . I am here in Lagos! So I am making the most of the opportunity to get to know Abuja better and it...

Lucy in Seoul | Adventurous Girl seeks Exotic City for English Teaching, Fun
My long trip from the Antipodes is finally over. Flying anywhere from Australia is a trial, took day the least. Luckily my flights to Hong Kong and then London were as comfortable and uneventful as could be hoped. The Hong Kong airport have me momentary flashbacks to the hell hole that is Guangzhou, but thankfully it was far far nicer. They even had a Popeye’s! I also managed to see Ten Bells, Jack the Ripper’s old haunt, and I walked past St Paul’s, a lovely bit of architecture right next to...My long t...
