Donnerstag, 25. September 2008. My car went to Rehab - yeahyeahyeah . My 61 went to Alex of aircooled-nation to get healthier for the next inspection. Last MoT was approx. 2005. I drove there in May. But there were more troubles than expected. Eg new lines and hoses were needed and "I" changed to a 2 circuit brake system. Sonntag, 5. April 2009. Home sweet home - finally. So guess what happend this week:. My 61 bug finally found his way back home. Against great odds through the last 11 months AircooledNationAlex could barely finish the reassembling of the engine and the rest of the car to the deadline of leaving his garage. Matthias and me were luckily able to DRIVE back home - engine and brakes are doing well. Car is almost MoT- ready. Let's see what the upcoming season 2009/ 10 brings. Home sweet home - finally.

Got new tires (195/70), 15" powdercoated mercedes rims, headlights (angeleyes) and exhaust, synthetic leather doorboards, new door seals, white indicators, rear lights.
