The Miller Family

Friday, September 26, 2008. A September to Remember. Well, this has been a very busy month in the Miller household. We started off Labor Day weekend heading up to Grayling. I went in to have surgery to repair a hernia that I probably got when I was pregnant with one of the boys. The Dr. Said that most hernias are about the size of a dime and that mine was larger than a 50 cent piece. By the end of the month, we are all feeling better. Life is getting back to normal - whatever that is right? And stayed wi...

The Miller Family: My first day

http://www.lukeandkarynmiller.blogspot.com/2008/08/my-first-day.html

Thursday, August 7, 2008. I am not the best at making phone calls or returning emails. Race over the weekend down in Jackson. After that, we are spending a long weekend in Gaylord with my parents. They are renting a condo up there for the month. Labor day weekend is usually spent in Grayling. With our friends Travis and Heather. After that, summer will over :(. Alex is having a good time this summer going on many field trips with his daycare. Today he is at Chinook Pier - at the playground. View my compl...

The Miller Family: August 2008

http://www.lukeandkarynmiller.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 13, 2008. My baby is growing up. I just realized today that I no longer have two babies anymore. Even though I will always think of him as my baby, Alex is truly. He is afraid of the dark. But he thought of several different things that make him brave - including doing a good thing even when all of his friends at daycare are being naughty. He also enjoys spending time playing in the basement and is not scared down there all by himself. He also said that he is brave because. Water - whic...

The Miller Family: Summer's almost over....

http://www.lukeandkarynmiller.blogspot.com/2008/09/summers-almost-over.html

Tuesday, September 2, 2008. Birthday party in South Lyon. The next weekend, we went to Bunker Hill, where it is an Italian-American type of reunion for Luke's family. They have mass, then a picnic and games for the kids (all outside and it was raining pretty hard). The next weekend, we headed to Lansing again. This past weekend to see our friends, Travis, Heather, Taten. Luke, Karyn, Alex, and Max Miller. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Luke, Karyn, Alex, and Max Miller. View my complete profile.

The Navis Family: September 2013

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 29, 2013. 3's Preschool and Young 5's. This fall Sebastien and Eden are starting Young 5's. I can't tell you how much we (ok, I) debated about whether to send them to Kindergarten or do a year of Young 5's. But now we have started the year and so far it is going very well. Here are some pictures from their first day of school. Violet was not starting school this day, but she wanted to "practice.". And when I went to pick her up, she came out looking like this:. The Navis Family: Moving....

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2013/07/moving.html

Sunday, July 7, 2013. This place where our family went from two people to five. This house that we bought just in time to move in and settle before the twins came. This home where I sat for the second half of bed rest and watched Adam unpack boxes paint walls, and assemble furniture. all the while happily accepting his offers to run for the Culver's milkshakes that I craved. What wonderful memories. Memories that will never be forgotten! July 9, 2013 at 2:37 AM. July 17, 2013 at 12:45 AM. EASY" - Eat, Ac...

The Navis Family: July 2013

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. And now they're five. Sebastien and Eden turned 5 a few weeks ago. We did their annual birthday interviews and I was blown away when I compared it to last year. They both have truly grown up so much. We had their first "friend" birthday party this year, and we invited their friends from church and their preschool class. It was a lot of fun. She introduces herself: "Excuse me, my name is Eden. What is your name? I'm Eden and I'm 4 1/2, how old are you? Sunday, July 7, 2013. This ...

The Navis Family: December 2012

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 27, 2012. One Sunday night, she started crying from her crib and when I went in, she handed me her paci - which she would never willingly do at bedtime - and I knew. "You throw it in the garbage? She wailed. "I sleep with a broken paci," she changed her mind again and again about whether this broken, malfunctioning paci should be in bed with her or in the garbage. Finally, I threw it away. When we broke the twins' pacis. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). These are my 4 year olds. We had a wo...

The Navis Family: "EASY" - Eat, Activity, Sleep, 'You Time'

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2008/08/easy-eat-activity-sleep-you-time.html

Sunday, August 24, 2008. EASY" - Eat, Activity, Sleep, 'You Time'. This is the basic premise of "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer" - which, despite its silly title, is actually a pretty great book about caring for infants. So, this is the routine we're trying to establish. Eden and Sebastien eat. (This is quite an event in and of itself.) We don't have any pictures of this, because that would be inappropriate. Please note that I am not suggesting that it always goes exactly like this - rather, this is one e...

The Navis Family: Happy 3rd Birthday Violet!

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2013/09/happy-3rd-birthday-violet.html

Sunday, September 1, 2013. Happy 3rd Birthday Violet! Our wonderful little Violet turned THREE! And what a sweet little honey she is. I was a little concerned that this would be a tough birthday for Violet. Her brother and sister just turned 5, and she had it in her head that she was going to have "all of the little children come over" for a bouncy house birthday party. However. that's a 5 year old thing.which of course I *tried* to explain. Violet is a sweet girl, with her own personality developing mor...

The Navis Family: Winter Fun

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2013/03/winter-fun.html

Wednesday, March 13, 2013. A certain VIP made a request for some new pictures. So here's a handful from this winter. The winter started with so little snow, we were often taking walks outside. Violet went through a phase in which she wore hats around the clock. (Literally, she even slept in hats.). Then it started to snow. The first day we were snowed in, we declared a "Jammy Day." In the afternoon the kids piled up some pillows and blankets and we watched a movie. We have played in the snow a lot. This ...

The Navis Family: January 2013

http://thenavisfamily.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 4, 2013. We had an absolutely lovely Christmas season this year. There was opportunity to spend time with many loved ones and plenty of fun parties. We enjoyed a much-anticipated preschool program, in which Eden debuted as a Shepherd and Sebastien was Gabriel. I am full of love and joy and celebration for the stage of life that my family is in. At the same time, I am grieving as I feel it passing. So far each phase of their development has gotten more and more fantastic. So I trust Go...

We went on a hike with some friends a couple weeks ago in Hauula. this hike turned out to be very beautiful, but also much longer than we thought. but we had a lot of fun! 16 lbs 10 oz (5%). Simon is gaining some weight but has not really grown in height.possibly has my genes.we are late bloomers in the height department. Has 3 teeth, with another on the way it looks like. But he still loves the water. Says "dadadadada," "mamamama," and "wawawawa". Makes lots of funny faces.

As you already know, we have chosen to enjoy the cultural and culinary delights of Spain for our wedding. We would love for you to join us. We know this is a big ask with work and family commitments etc so we have loaded this website with suggested accommodation as well as a quick guide to the local area and an online RSVP system which should hopefully help make the organisation that little bit easier.
