Sabrina JN216: DAC
http://sabrina-jn216.blogspot.com/2008/10/dac.html
Friday, October 17, 2008. As some people on campus may have noticed, it is official, the Multicultural center is no longer, but now the Diversity Achievement Center (DAC). I recently attended an open forum discussing the change, to find many were at a disagreement with many of the decisions. Most people are upset by the removal or relocating of the artifacts that were on display. I decided I wanted my next news story to be on this. In the end I'm not sure what to think, seeing as its been explained that ...

Friday, November 7, 2008. President of the World? The year of children named Barack Obama. Much of the world is still buzzing over Barack Obama's win in the presidential election. There's special attention in the black communities all over the world the world and their reactions, seeing a black man take leadership of a world super power. Sabrina JN216: Next Topic Crisis!
http://sabrina-jn216.blogspot.com/2008/10/next-topic-crisis.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. I may have an issue for my next story. I was planning an interview with a couple of guys I know of that are starting up their own filming studio. They've even been working on a project to take to the Salem Film Festival. However, my problem is that it may not happen for this week's story. It's all up to if they, or at least the director of the films, are able to schedule an interview with me this week on Tuesday or Wednesday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Luke - Jn 216.

Sabrina JN216: It's So Decided, I'm So Excited
http://sabrina-jn216.blogspot.com/2008/11/its-so-decided-im-so-excited.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2008. It's So Decided, I'm So Excited. I can't help but be excited about the election. I don't pay close attention to the polls because most are either clearly in favor of a candidate, or sit there wobbling from one to the other when really the numbers are barely in. I just feel the race is leading up to a new beginning, and I doubt many would disagree that we need one more than we ever have in a long time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Luke - Jn 216. Sabrina JN216: Breed or Bred
http://sabrina-jn216.blogspot.com/2008/11/breed-or-bred.html
Monday, November 24, 2008. Recently I caught on the news that there's been a growing trend of violent attacks by dogs, especially towards children, here in Oregon. Although dog attacks would not be a very new thing, I did find some concern in the fact that it was discussed that Oregon may, like some other states already have, ban specific breeds. One breed being debated lately due to a number of attacks associated with the breed are pitbulls. Whether or not these recent attacks on children are a matter o...

Halee's Blog☮: The Rising Price of Old-School
http://halee-jn216.blogspot.com/2009/02/classic-video-games-in-my-opinion-best.html
Wednesday, February 25, 2009. The Rising Price of Old-School. Classic video games: in my opinion the best games that have surfaced media. Then why are they so expensive if there over a decade old? That is what I’m prepared to answer. Mario Brothers, Zelda and Donkey Kong are just a few of the game titles planted into mine and many others head over the past years. Missing the catchy theme songs and easy bosses, I decided to “visit the past” and buy myself a Super Nintendo over winter break. I would have t...

Monday, February 9, 2009. Hard work and long days are the key ingredients to Travis Corbin's everyday recipe titled "life". As a father of two sons, Jacob and David, 7, Travis takes valuable time off of work so he can bring the weekly responsibility in watching them every other weekend, due to a past divorce. "I absolutely love it when my kids are here with me, they're just so full of spunk," said Corbin. Travis just loves coming here from Adair Village and helping me with my home and my flower. Halee's Blog☮: Super Nintendo Games
http://halee-jn216.blogspot.com/2009/02/super-nintendo-games.html
Monday, February 9, 2009. Well my column idea is to rant about why old nintendo games are so expensive now. It just doesnt make sense why a mario game would cost $20.00 when a Super Nintendo itself cost just that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sabrina JN216: Presidential Debate in Nashville
http://sabrina-jn216.blogspot.com/2008/10/presidential-debate-in-nashville.html
Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Presidential Debate in Nashville. I, like quite a few I'm sure, watched the presidential debate last night. Of course the first question out was the economy. I have to admit, this is a topic I'm stomped on a solution. I know whats not helping, but I'm not confident on what will help or fix it either. The only thing that strikes me as off is the fact that the topic of taxes seems like such a sensitive subject, and canidates step around it like glass. October 19, 2008 at 11:43 PM.

Sabrina JN216: "Blindness" Makes Me Go "Hmm" and "Huh?" and "Ugh!"
http://sabrina-jn216.blogspot.com/2008/10/blindness-makes-me-go-hmm-and-huh-and.html
Monday, October 6, 2008. Blindness" Makes Me Go "Hmm" and "Huh? This weekend I went to the theater and saw. I went in thinking the movie was going to show some great adaptation of human life after the population is suddenly overcome with blindness, and how many of those in power are determined to hide this development any way they find necessary. It became difficult to watch the screen several times. The only hope is the main character, a wife to a doctor, who pretends to be blind and ends up in quar...
