No matter how busy I am, the idea of acquiring and learning a new instrument is enough to distract me from whatever else I was supposed to be doing. Hearing that a friend is getting married is a very unique but undeniable kind of joy. Everytime my wife stirs in the middle of the night, I think she's ready to go into labor. Even if the music is strange, getting new music from a friend is likely to cheer me up.
