That's when Monty resorted to his old self when it comes to majors. He self destructed. His approach went into the cabbage to the right then he hit out too strong and 3 putted for a double eventually allowing Ogilvy to win when Phil did do something stupid. In any case, he blew it. Good news for him is that he only...

The Wormburner...........: January 2011
http://southerngolfer.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Grip n rip it, then hopefully find it. Thursday, January 13, 2011. Well my little vacation is just about over. I head back to work on Monday, somewhat reluctantly I must add. My bank account will be the only celebrating this occasion. Probably because I haven't been there since around the 17th of December. On the bright side, my Yahoo fantasy golf team for a change, isn't dead last. Granted we've only been going a week, so there is plenty of time for the inevitable downward slide. I sit around financial data all day long and practically LIVE in Excel. So for fun i did a VERY BASIC analysis of how good -1 par on the PGA Tour really is. Average Finish: 26.35. Cuts Missed: 1 (Buick Invitational).

Lumpy Ends His Slump-y At The Colonial. The wait was long and sometimes lumpy, I mean bumpy but Tim Herron finally got his first win on the PGA Tour since 1994. He made the putt then won it with a birdie on the second hole of sudden death. He got plaid jacket (extra large) and a fat check for 1.08 million. That will put a lump in his wallet.

Phil Mickelson is begging off the Byron Nelson this week. He says it's for "personal rerasons". Let the speculation begin. His daughter is having a birthday party this weekend and the clown couldn't make it. Phil volunteered, no make up required. Posted by Mattb at 3:25 PM. Links to this post:. View my complete profile.
