Cooking and eating in this beloved city that I now call home. Monday, July 31, 2006. Spring onion and cherry tomato omelette. I woke up on sunday morning craving something spicy and garlicky. maybe it was because it felt a bit crisper than it has felt in weeks. it was so nice to wake up to some chill in the morning after weeks of sweltering heat. Beat two eggs with a fork until the yolks and whites have just mixed. add a finely chopped red chilli, some sea salt and pepper. Posted by lulu at 9:52 pm.

Cooking and eating in this beloved city that I now call home. Saturday, September 30, 2006. If you're looking to make something spicy using pinto beans, here's a southwestern recipe for frijoles borrachos. The drunken beans are a delicious accompaniment to baked rice with cheese and green chiles. I love brown rice and adore this recipe which uses ricotta, cheddar, lots of cilantro and jalapenos. just be careful not to bake too long as brown rice doesn't taste too good when it gets too brittle. Chop toget...

Cooking and eating in this beloved city that I now call home. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Slow cooked scrambled eggs. I find myself being much more inspired by food blogs than cookbooks these days. yesterday, i was catching up on my friend amy's blog. And was quite taken up with her suggestion to take your own sweet time to make scrambled eggs. it was quite contrary to everything i've read about making scrambled eggs so i was intrigued and immediately wanted to give it a try.
