The Lummi Island quarry is located on the east side of Lummi Mountain and is approximately mile south of the Lummi Island Scenic Estates (LISE). The close proximity of these two conflicting activities has been problematic, particularly in the last 15 years. Those who boat out of Bellingham Bay toward Elisa Island or Hales Passage will also get clear views of the forest clearing and the current 20-acre pit.
