Staying Emotionally Refueled: REMEMBERING WHAT WE ENJOYED
http://emotionalrefueling.blogspot.com/2005/12/remembering-what-we-enjoyed.html
Wednesday, December 14, 2005. REMEMBERING WHAT WE ENJOYED. When you were growing up, what did you love doing during your free time? When you got home from school, what did you choose to do? You might have had to do homework or get chores done around the house, but after you were finished with your responsibilities, what did you enjoy doing? Were you outside playing with friends or by yourself pretending? It is evident that our lives are filled with a never ending cycle of things that are constantly devou...

20 Degrees Off Center. An interpretation of our life and times as related by a collaboration of social misfits, clowns, and one serious guy named Dave. Monday, November 21, 2005. Don't expect to leave happy. Get off your duff and read the thing! Do NOT see the movie! The Quidditch World Cup was fun. Ginny has a few lines, and they really show her slow development into the girl we know and love in Book 6. Then the chaos begins, and the Death-Eaters start marching. And chaos it is! Oh, it's so refreshing t...

Staying Emotionally Refueled: November 2005
http://emotionalrefueling.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Most of the people who are important to us have very specific expectations that they want us to live up to. Not only do parents want their kids to live a certain way or have a certain kind of career. People want their spouses to be ambitious or nurturing or social. People want friends to be cool or funny or endlessly helpful. Why is this so exhausting? So, who is the one person in your life right now whose expectations are a problem for you? The next step would be seeing how y...

Staying Emotionally Refueled: THE BALANCING ACT- part 1

Wednesday, December 14, 2005. THE BALANCING ACT- part 1. Posted by Keith @ 11:26 PM. Putting aside the good in favor of the best is always a real problem for me. Also, saying "no" to anybody about anything upsets me enormously. I want everybody to think well of me, so I let them and their needs dictate my day all too often . but when I live for others without taking care of my own needs, I end up resenting those others and feeling bitter. And I'm not at all sure how to resolve this. Writing from the Hip.
