January 29, 2013. Said to be the best sub around town, and I have to agree, Yaki’s. Bakes a hand held sub perfection. The bread is amazing and they don’t cut this beast in half, you just eat it right from the brown bag. I had the Classic and tried the Logger’s Sub, next time I’m doing Pizza. Least Likely To Succeed. August 4, 2006. I have to admit I was not too confident in this sandwich creation today. Luckily, it actually tasted pretty good. I think the key is to NOT use cream cheese sparingly. I also thought of another recipie while I was eating it; I’d like to try just cream cheese and banana peppers sometime. October 16, 2009. I think I first read about LAS TORTAS on Vancouver Slop. And had been anticipating my first visit. I went to check ‘er out the other day annnnd, welllllll, I don’t really like to give bad reviews cause I really do love and enjoy good food, but it was like too much good or something. Hmmm, how do I describe it…. PROS: Quality ingredients, lots of tasty toppings, good chips, good bread….all was good! Not greasy enough (a la Duffins)? How can something be too heavy but not greasy enough?
