View my complete profile. 4 Player Pong Game. The Official First Week! My First 3 Days. Tuesday, October 28, 2008. 4 Player Pong Game. No work today as it's a public holiday. Happy Deepavali! Back at work from a long weekend. Felt quite sluggish at first. However, I managed to set myself back to my 'working mode' and read up on the notes that Ming Hong passed to us last Friday as soon as I reached the 'working space'. The bottled drinks there only costs $1! Leonard and I had Japanese food while Ryan and ...

View my complete profile. Chinese Niu Year Week. Quartz Composer Whiteboard Application. Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Quartz Composer Whiteboard Application. As soon as we reached the office, Leonard showed us a very neat Mac trick. And no, I'm not going to reveal the trick here. On the way out to have breakfast, we were approached by Daryl from Corporate Comms to write an article for IHPC Newsletter: "Powering Discoveries! Kevin gave us comments on how we could improve the application and what are the p...

Sharing my digital footprints as I move along…. I’ll add more along the way as I progress…. Here are some projects which I worked on previously. Feel free to ask any questions arising. Lightdraw is a revolutionary Human-Computer-Interface that uses light sources as its medium. With devices such as hand phones and laser pointers, multiple users will be able to interact with objects on the computer screen simultaneously. Check out my internship blog. During my stint at IHPC. Sight Beyond Sight: Week 09 - Beginning of my Interim Report
http://yi-ihpc.blogspot.com/2008/03/week-09.html
Friday, March 7, 2008. Week 09 - Beginning of my Interim Report. We had a Lightdraw presentation to SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 correspondents, and I was surprised by the appearance of my Computer Graphics professor, Dr. Huang Zhiyong. Turns out that he's a member of SIGGRAPH Singapore. First meeting with open source committee today. We plan to have a custom IHPC OpenSource webpage for Lightdraw instead of the usual SourceForge-ish layout. Whackapeng can now be played with variable number of players and avatars.

Sight Beyond Sight: Week 08 - "Leap Week"
http://yi-ihpc.blogspot.com/2008/02/week-08.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Week 08 - "Leap Week". The demo program "moveresize" is able to work with laser. Thresholding of image affects the detection of laser blobs. Lower thresholds makes the laser dot highly visible but introduces more false positives. With higher thresholds, the laser "drops" once in awhile, so I've added loss tolerance for two frames after my program doesnt pick up the laser. Kevin simplified Lightdraw into three particular areas the team has to look into. Taken OpenCV motion temp...

View my complete profile. Integration of 3D Application. Development of 3D Model App. Friday, February 6, 2009. Development of 3D Model App. We discussed about using different macro patches instead of array in Javascript. After much debate, we decided to continue working with the Javascript. So we worked on the matching algorithm till lunch. After the usual breakfast routine, I installed Kineme 3D plugin with the help of Leonard. After the installation, a pop-up appeared informing me that the trial p...
