Post 15: Decisions, Decisions……More Decisions. With lupus I feel like I’m in that position a lot. Is this bad enough to warrant a trip to the emergency room or can it wait until my next doctor appointment? Is this pain just typical inflammation or is it something more? If I just give it a few days will my immune system just move on to something else or is serious damage being done that requires immediate attention? In fact, I find myself coming to that same conclusion more often than not these days.

Post 13: So Far, So Good. Just got home from the first doctor visit….the internist. I liked her. It’s good to have a positive doctor experience for a change. Her response to all my years of medical crap was, How could anyone NOT think you have lupus! And she had no problem writing that as the diagnosis. She even commented, I bet no one ever wrote that as a diagnosis did they. Said you had to see a rheumatologist? DIAGNOSIS: Shortness of breath. But, the internist made a referral to both a nephrologist.
